Just browsed clickbank and found ProFlightSimulator and FlightProSim (has other names).

They have huge gravity and I wondered how can scammy Clickbank produce good quality game.

As an interesting niche.. I did some research and I've found that it's a 1x1 copy of FlightGear.org which is an open source flight simulator.
WITH THE EXACT SCREENSHOTS, THE FLIGHTGEAR.ORG WATERMARK... Everything.

The clickbank marketers crossed the red line... It's as if someone will sell Wordpress as a script he developed..

Just a warning to those who promote this... Don't wonder why you have many refunds.

Sorry about that guys. Forum went a bit crazy.

Nothing wrong with that. If people don't know that it is free and are willing to pay for it regardless, I say congratulations to the vendor.

I read a quote that once said, "A great marketer isn't someone who can sell gold, but someone who can sell shit, and pass it off as gold".

The vast majority of CB products are either free information packaged nicely or another ebook/product that someone hires to rewrite and brand to make unique but is basically the same thing.

People still buy it though because they don't know where to get it for free.

i attempted to promote this product. after my site had been launched and I put many hours working on the site, i find out that it is a scam. it is a copy of another game. from what i have read, clickbank seems to be not a popular site for many people to use to earn any online income.

I'm not sure how the documentation is on that specific product, but you can sell open source software if you have someone willing to pay for it. You are supposed to include the information about it being open source software somewhere in the product but it's allowed for sure.

I thought this was a blackhat forum LOL!

I am not a big fan of clickbank personally. They give me the shady up no good chills. Any time you try to call customer service and get a busy signal, it certainly doesn't build confidence.

I built a site (locally). Didn't put much into it because I really thought that's an interesting niche and needs research.

But then I thought how could Clickbank produce such a great product, I mean - If it's yours; would you sell it on scam center?
They had Millions of refunds and their Grav dropped instantly and only then I found the threads about FlightGear which I downloaded and is really great for an open source project.

And yes. Selling open source is allowed but it includes moral issues. They are ripping off hundreds of developers which I personally find false in contrast to exploiting fake gurus.
That ain't a fucking MMO eBook. It's years of development.

Nothing is stopping the developers from selling it themselves. These products just show that people are willing to pay for it. When they provided it for free to everyone, they must accept the chance that someone will try sell it to people.

I am sure if the Op is that bothered he can just contact the developers and point them to the clickbank product, I am sure in an opensource game there will be some T&c's stating it cannot be sold--the developers can take it down

FlightGear is released under the GPL, meaning any variations of the software must also be released under the GPL - a free and open source license.

I'm not bothered.. Actually the point of this thread was for people here to reconsider promoting 70% refund products. A contribution if you will.

Why the hell would you buy a game from Clickbank anyway, but well, there are some people that still do that :S

I have a less than 10% refund rate for all the niche products I promote through clickbank. You just need to understand the research aspect of choosing a good product.

Obviously if you found the free version of the flight simulator online, imagine most others that purchased the clickbank one and were like WTF after locating it.

Refunds suck but that 60 day guarantee helps you earn commissions.

good product + good research = low refund rates
bad product + no research = you wasted your time promoting it
