Never mind what the name says, atm I'm struggling terribly trying to get traffic. I would plea to anyone who has a moment to go through and explain some of the fundamentals and "lingo" that accompany's this whole "business"...( I may ramble on for a bit ) I started out making websites for family and friends about a year ago as a side-earner/hobby and got it to the point where I run a dozen sites or so from a home IIS server, on-site SEO is not a problem and I think I pretty much understand that but off-site SEO is getting me down. Now I want to start earning some money and plan to put the time in, problem is I'm struggling with the basics and theory of off-site SEO. At this moment in time any or all off-site SEO has involved compiling a list of do-follow blogs and extracting each niche by domain name that I want to apply it to and posting on about 20-30 blogs per day for a week, this has seen ~some good resilts in SERPS but traffic volume is terible. I have two main money sites, a local car mechanics directory and a womens clothing store, both have enough content to stay alice in the search engines with good keywords in the domain name - both backed up with social media counterparts with autoblogging/spinning several times per-day - traffic is terrible. Help, I'm a n00b! What is scraping? What is pinging? Why do I need them???
