I was looking over all the business I currently have going and I noticed the older I get the more whitehat I become in my marketing practices. I would estimate a good 80% of my income comes from whitehat methods. I was just wondering how many other BHW members find themselves using safer whitehat methods. I know last year I would say I was an even mix 50% BH 50% wh.

The older you get, the more patient you become. A quick buck is nothing in comparison to a plan with some longevity. Not worrying about whether or not you'll get paid also has its advantages. The more responsibilities, the more risk averse you become. In another word, maturity.

From a noob looking back in I have found that the posts which appear to be more white hat appeal to me more than the blackhat hit and run methods. To me they make more sense and I see the long term viability in them and reduced risk. I know with hard work and common sense they are very likely to pull through for me too while a lot of the blackhat seems to have a certain element of good timing and fortune to it.
