I am getting a lot of 500 error messages...

Upgraded to the latest WP not sure if this is the problem or not. Maybe HG is limiting my traffic...

    Sucks... :(

500 typically refers to an error within a script that you're running.

The first thing you should do is try and disable all plugins that you're running, see if the error disappears and if it does then re-enable plugins one by one to find out which one of the plugins is causing the issue.

IMO, you should ask your web hosting provider to check the error logs and fix it. If you are on shared hosting then definitely your hosting provider will fix the issue. If you are on VPS or have your own dedicated server, you can check the log file by your own and fix the issue.

You obviously don't know HostGator. I guarantee they'll fix the problem or at least tell you what is causing it.

They fix my mistakes all the time.

I did notice a lot of processes running... Most of them were to the index pages of my blogs... Do you think that is just from traffic?

Like almost in the red zone... 25 or so. But not all the time.

you're right, I've never asked a host to fix an issue with wordpress before.. if they'll seriously login and help you find the plugin or whatever is causing the issue then more power to them.

I just can't see a host really doing that for you when you're paying them a few bucks a month on shared hosting.
