    Hey all,

For some strange reason I am not able to access BHW from my home PC no matter what . I can open every other website on the internet except for BHW. When I try to open BHW it says " Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to www.blackhatworld.com ". INitially I thought BHW was itself down. So I tried accessing it hrough my VPS and I could.

PLease help me out guys. What do you think is happening?

    Thanks a lot

That's happened to me a couple of times. I just waited a couple of days and it seemed to sort itself out.

Happens to me sometimes. What I do is use a proxy website (so a website where you can just simply type the website and it will redirect you and works

Yep happens to me all the time too. I have a copy of cgiproxy set up on all my hosting accounts, so I just use one of those until it clears itself up.

I have seen this too. Wondering why this problem is exclusive with BHW.

I think I have read something about this a while back.
If my memory serves me correctly, it is a system that is in place in the backend of BHW that will block certain users from certain countries from accessing BHW. Something to do with hacking attempts I believe.

But then again, I could be completely mistaken, damn you Jack Daniels.

    Some problems here also.

Most of the time there is no problem in loading BHW. But at times it will not load. :( At that time I am able to see BHW using proxy sites.

Yeah I've been experiencing this problem too. Either the page won't load or it says the administrator has blocked my IP. I just keep restarting my modem until it works...

Same problem, only opposite. I am able to open BHW from my home computer, but unable to access it from my work computer. It's definitely not a problem of browsers.

    Guys,

    Update your comptuers DNS servers to these;

That should resolve your problem. It's OpenDNS's servers.
I was not able to access this site when I was using Google DNS servers, so I switched to open DNS.

    For Windows 7:
(Make sure you've cleaned your browser cache, and its closed.)

    1. Open Network Connections by clicking the Start button [IMG], clicking Control Panel, clicking Network and Internet, clicking Network and Sharing Center, and then clicking Manage network connections.
    2. Right-click the connection that you want to change, and then click Properties. [IMG] If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    3. Click the Networking tab. Under This connection uses the following items, click either Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4 and then click Properties.
    4. To specify a DNS server address, click Use the following DNS server addresses, and then, in the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server boxes, type the addresses of the primary and secondary DNS servers.
    5. Set to OpenDNS - 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222
Once you've done that, press the Windows Logo on your keyboard and R, so WIN + R the run prompt should appear, type "cmd" and then a black box should appear type in this command "ipconfig /flushdns"

And you should be able to access BHW now! If your more techie I suggest you log onto your routers panel and set the DNS server there.

    I am using open DNS
This is not an ISP issue.
~80% indian ISP IP blocks are banned.

Perhaps BHW is being attacked by Indian IP addresses and they've temp blocked your country.
