This goes for anybody that is going to post download requests or questions on how to do this or that, etc...

please do your research in this forum before posting!

we are getting so many noobs posting questions that have already been answered like 1,000 times.

BHW is such a great forum that is jam-packed with all the information you'll ever need on pretty much any online money making method.

so do us all a favor and take a look in the forums before posting.

I've wanted to post this message for so long, however feared i'd get slapped by a giant horse fallace to the face.

I'm glad someone else agrees with me though!

Have you ever really tried to use the search feature on this site? It is without a doubt the worst one I have ever used. It will give results that have nothing to do with anything you are searching for. You have to read 100 threads to find one that is relevant.

I think we have all been guilty of asking a question that has already been answered in the past. It is the price we pay for new members.

Yeah I think the benefit of having a constant influx of new members (some of whom will become active contributors) outweights the annoying cost of having to see the odd "What is AC?" thread.

Yeah, I thought they were going to start banning people for making pointless stupid posts...the large recent influx of noobs has been horribly annoying despite the not so great search feature...

What's CL?...Any article ideas?...How do I write a good article?...I mean, valid questions, but dammit frustrating...

*IDEA*

why not make a newbie forum, where all questions, no matter how over-asked or stupid can be asked.

Add loadsa stickies, and make sure everyone posts there stuff in there. That way people can go purely to help, and the main forums are spammy. That way everyones happy.

Doubt it'd work in practice though as it'd just get filled with spam. then if you removed the posts from counting, people wouldn't post in it cos everyone is obsessed with post count for some reason!

It was a pointless thread. They did ask and they will ask, you can't do anything about it

I, being a newbie myself agree that the same questions are asked over and over. It does get irritating to read through threads that are full of the same questions. That being said, sometimes a new piece of useful advise comes out even with a repeat question.

I do agree that the search function could use a little a work, but even why I started here, I actually spent the time looking through the forums and tryied to find the info on my own if I couldn't get in the search.

And yes, I realize we get a lot of new members, but this is not the WF or DP!

Lately, we see a whole ton of "how do I write an article" or "how do I bookmark my site" or "what's a WSO" etc. If you guys want that info, go to WF or DP.
I'm sorry if I sound a little cruel, but to me the BHW is definitely a few steps above those forums. And just like you can't get into the next grade in school without graduating, you can't be coming to an advanced forum like this and asking questions that are so basic like the above.

On the flip side, I like Jammie's idea of a noob forum. We should have one where all the noobs can get their nooby info. And we should make it so they cannot post a download request for anything until the "graduate" from the noob forum.

This way, we can give all the noobs the info that they not only want but need to advance, as well keep down requests from guys that haven't even contributed to the forum.

Of course we would need to work out more details, but I think this is a good idea.

just my 2 cents.

I think we should have a BHW quiz. You must be able to pass this quiz before graduating from the Noob forum. Frankly you couldn't do it by post count. I see several people with hundreds of posts asking some questions that have been answered several times. In contrast I see some people with very few posts make great contributions.

i agree. nice addition there scottb. that would be a cool function to have maybe. it would definitely weed out the people that are ready and aren't ready to be active in the BHW.

Wow. An expert with less than a years experience. hmmm..

No they moved on. Now they add you to your messenger, and ask the same questions

Code:
Are you there
yes
Cool
I got your MSN from BHW
ok
I just had a question
ok
Well you were posting in the ewhoring section
And I recently am in the need of some quick pocket change
So I wanted to team up with someone and do some ewhoring
sorry, but not interested. the e-whoring business it to saturated nowdays. i moved on
Well, do you have any other recommendations. I seriously need some quick money (I know you may hear this a lot ) -- I've tried quite a few methods, both Blackhat and Whitehat yet nothing for me seems to work.
maybe ac? if you are from us, or you know english whell
ac?
artcle creation?
associated content
yes. for asociated content
I have tried that
I have about 4-5 articles
4 are processing and one I got paid $3.50 upfront for
I was going to post in BHW later on for this but maybe you could help. Is there any way that I could send fake traffic to AC to get "fake" views, therefore making $1.50 / 1000 views?
no no no. already posted
look it up
I tried
I found ifaker...
That's it though.
the beter thing would be to find freelancers to write you the articles
but at the moment i dont have the money to pay them
and you pay the m 50% of your earning
ah, k
well are there ways to fake traffic to AC?
do you know if ppl do that?
look up the tread
i tried mate
there isnt a thread "send fake traffic to AC"
wait a sec

Chat with another member here. One person even asked me how can he make money (can't find the chat log for that conversation). Anyway it was something like this:

Hi
Hi
I'm xy from bhw. Can i ask you a question?
Yes
How can i make money

block and delete

i completely agree when someone said the search engine is not good, i have often been quite frustrated looking for a topic, the results very often show no relation to what i was looking for.

Maybe you guys should use g00gle to search in bhw. That`s what I do :D

When I started here, I spent at least 3 hours a day reading the threads and sometimes 5-6 hours. This is the Gods truth! Still, I am sure I've asked a stupid question more than once. I think the idea of a Newbies forum would be the best thing that the site could do and then when a newbie asks a question, just cut and paste the link to that section and don't answer them.

On the other hand, the threads are usually pretty clearly marked. It's almost as stupid to go into a forum that you know you aren't interested in and then comment on it. I guess it can be seen from both sides...

Don't forget where you came from when it comes to bashin the noobs. We were all there once and totally oblivious to the half of it.

I believe it would be alot easier if we had a whole sticky section for methods to make money maybe voted on or set by the mods, glossary for abbreviations and terms etc., etc. then we could have somewhere to point them. I know we gotta making money section but it's hard to weed out the working methods between ?'s and theory.

The main newbs that erk me are the ones that come in and expect that you owe them something or come off as errogant jack-aces that assume they have some kinda authority around here or start bashin a respected member for not holding their prick for them while they piss.

Anyway, thats my 2 for what it's worth.

Is seriously do believe that there should be a test of 50 questions to enter and sign up to this forum, within a time limit. And the questions keep constantly changing, so it will require alot of effort (most people are lazy) for cheaters. The questions should obviously be about internet marketing, and if the person who wants to sign up scores over a certian limit (i reckon 70%-80% and above) then they can be accepted, if not it means they are a noob, and they cant come in
