I am putting together all the pieces of my first ever campaign that involves leeching from an authority site and mimicking a viral effect. Part of this involves drip fed delivery of social signals. I wanted to ask how this works. When services offer X Facebook shares, Y Twitter shares, Z Google +1's etc for a url of mine I don't understand some things. Do I have to create accounts on all of these platforms and then these accounts are used by the service? Or how will my url be shared, as in will it be as part of a status/tweet and if so do I have to make unique content for each ones? Also is there a way of me verifying that the service is actually providing the social signals? Would something like the MozBar suffice? Thanks.

You don't have to create accounts on all platforms, you just need to give link to service provider, he will have accounts he will use for his service.
You don't have to make unique content for social signals, all tweets, shares and likes are done by service provider.
There are number of social signals checkers, I use this one: http://www.bulksocialchecker.com/

It shows many different platforms, it is really great. If you are interested in how social signals affect SEO, you can check out case study I am currently doing here on forums:

If you need service provider, I might be up for it, haven't done it for others, only for myself, but I can provide thousands of signals daily, over 300k monthly if needed, so feel free to hit me up if you are interested. :)

Thanks for the great answer man. So what actually is shared and liked, is it just a tweet/fb post consisting of nothing but your url?

I read every post on your thread, it's a very interesting case study, I am looking forward to the future updates. Quite interested how you are getting these social signals! I am a beginner to this all and just devouring all information related to seo and especially bh methods. I have never felt so passionate and interested in something before.

I will for sure hit you up for the social signals part of my campaign when I get to that bit, thanks mate.

No problem. As for anchors on social media posts(text with your url), I don't think they matter that much. But it is the best to go with your keywords, some naked urls(only your url), some with "visit this", "check this out" and so on to make it look more natural if nothing else. Good luck with your campaign, social signals still are very powerful in SEO. Here is case study by moz on ranking factors, you can check it out. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-.../w1472-h2048/seo-ranking-factors-2014-big.png
