Hey, I am only asking this dumb dumb question because Google is not helping me out and because for some reason I can not seem to figure this otu. I am trying to upload an API to my wordpress site:

    API.jpg

Do I do this through my FTP, or directly through wordpress, or maybe hostgator?

Thank you for your support on this silly question.

That's a little unclear since I don't know what API you are integrating, but it looks like you need to upload a file to your server and then enter the public url in the form field in your picture. So in that case you can connect via FTP or you could use whatever Host Gator gives you for transferring files via their dashboard GUI. Just make sure it goes in the public html folder (or a sub folder in there) so that you have a URL you can put in that form. For instance... the file they want you to upload: my-gateway.php. FTP to public_html/mysite.com/ (the exact structure of this can vary depending on your hosting setup). Then the url they want would be http://mysite.com/my-gateway.php. OR you could stick it in a subfolder public_html/mysite.com/api/ in which case the url would be http://mysite.com/api/my-gategway.php. Make sense?
