    Hi All,

Iam starting a website with 50-100 articles on Finance and Tax.
Each article would target a keyword.

Now my question is should i get SEO done for each article, there by targeting all the 50 keywords or should i pick few keywords and get the SEO done for the home page??

P.S: Dint know where to post, so sorry if posted in the wrong section.

Hi there, IMO, each of the article should has off-page seo; link building...Means your inner pages have descent targeted keywords and this will bring good ranking for homepage as well.

No worries, this kind of question fits in a bunch of the sections.

Yeah, get SEO done for each article with the keyword the articles are targeting, as well as sending a few of those to the home page. Additionally, look for keywords that relate specifically to the domain name and have those directed to the domain with light use of those keywords as anchor text for your articles. Keep expanding the bank of keywords you target when you pull back to lower tiers (this is my opinion. some people make huge money very quickly keeping the same keywords/anchors and when their site gets hit, they make more with just about the exact same template).

So, don't pick, do both. Keyword diversity is an astounding benefit that pays for itself many times over.

    Thanks for your quick reply,
    My sites url is incomeinspire.com
and i bought the domain very recently (not even 15 days). so if i go with heavy seo will that be a problem?
im thinking of starting with 25 articles then increase the no of articles, like 10 articles every month. Is this a good way to do??

and one more thing, if my keyword is abcd is it of any use if the address would be www.mysite.com/abcd

That's a nice domain. Glad you already know how to begin :) an inspiration to all "noobs" (though I wouldn't call you that, considering you have actual, specific questions).

Don't go with heavy SEO yet(THIS IS MY OPINION, SOME ON THIS FORUM HAVE FOUND GREAT SUCCESS DOING SEO IMMEDIATELY), but feel free to share your posts socially as soon as you write them and sending backlinks to those social networks. Do a waybackmachine search on archive.org : incomeinspire.com seems to have been registered before and from what I can see it used to be used as a clickbank landing page in 2009-2011. Don't see any backlinks to it now, though.

And yes, using your keyword in the URL is still vital. I've been testing using Yoast SEO in Wordpress exactly how it tells me to, and by putting the keyword in the URL and the body of the content, my traffic has increased. I'm not sure how this success will stick in updates to come as I think I'm overoptimizing the keywords WAYYY too much, but perhaps at the moment...I'm not optimizing enough...(this thought makes me nervous. I always thought I was doing too much and I should slow down...but it might be the opposite). The only problem comes from over-optimizing that page for only that keyword. If it's "how to make more money" and you only backlink for "how to make more money", the page will be penalized with the entire site perhaps soon to follow.
