    Hello mates,
    I know it is noob question but I seriously don't have any idea about it. My question is :
    1. How many domains can we redirect to a single website/page?
    2. Is their any google penalty for 301 redirect to your main domain.
    3. Will all the domains be indexed by google as a different page or a single page.
    4. It is black hat or white hat.

    I am on BHW since some time and honestly saying that I am leecher till now. But I believe that some day I ll be capable of contributing my knowledge towards BHW comunity.
    Long live BHW :) :) :)

    1. there is no limit per se
    2. 301 means that the page/site has moved permanently to another URL, why would there be a penalty? do you mean that the site redirecting was hit and you're afraid the other site will be 'tainted'?
    3. google will ignore the domain sending it elsewhere and index the final site it ends up at. so if you have a chain of 3 redirects:
    URL1 (301 to URL2)--> URL2 (301 to URL3)--> URL3
    then URL3 will show up in google
    4. not sure what you mean by this question, what is black/white hat?

    Thanks a lot for your reply....
    Actually I have a website under a very competitive niche and as I was a noob while starting the website I didn't make any keyword research while purchasing my domain name. Now I am having very small amount of traffic for my website.
    So I was planning to purchase some long tail domain names and redirect them to my main domain so that I can get some easy search engine traffic.
    Please tell me if it is possible.
    I want to URL 1-->Main URL<--URL 2
    on the same time I want both URL 1 and URL 2 to be indexed in google.
    Is it possible????

    Not possible unless people are going to type in the domain name in the address bar. Google eventually deindexes the domain if it's 301 redirected. You're basically telling Google there's no site there anymore and it has moved to the 301 redirected domain.

    The other option is doing a delayed meta refresh redirect. Not sure if google will deindex the site still or not but you would have to have content on the site being redirected.
