Noob Q? Which is more effective. domain redirect or a landing page.

Im totally new to SEO. I understand google relies heavily on the amount of links it finds to your site, around the web. Im starting a new online business i bought a bunch of related domains when i bought the main one. My first idea was to just set up all the related domains to redirect to the main site. But now im thinking would it be more effective to create basic pages for each of these other domains which would include a link to my main site on the page in order to help google ranking?

Creating your own landing page is always the best solution, you can do more stuff with the visitor then just redirect him. You can implement an email optin form and redirect after you got his email.

Thank you, so for a new online business it be good to have the primary site and then 5 or 6 related domains going to a landing page,, is this good practice generally? Thank y
