Noob here: What is the purpose of having multiple IPs?

    Are CPA networks against having multiple campaigns on one host or something? :confused:

    It's not necessarily that, but having different IP addresses can hide who you are, or for instance if your IP is blacklisted then having another IP you could transfer to that one and you wouldn't be blacklisted anymore.

    There are a lot of different scenarios that multiple IP's become handy in.

    It works like this having your domains on seperate ip addresses say on the same server is good for linking. the search engines wont know they are your sites on the same server. Class c ip's work best. Hope this answer helped you out.

    Edit: Irrelevant in the webhosting area.

    bluecrab basically has it down. If it's a single ip for a few sites, you might get screwed over and share with other webmasters altogether. Make sure your hosting has separate ips for the domains.

    i forgot to add seperate ip's usuallyhave a small fee per month per ip but its low so its worth it.
