    Hi,

I am kind new to CPA, so I will bother with some stupid questions I could not find in the forum.

I also searche for google before, I would really not waste BHW members' time, but I need answers even if they are simple q's.

I want to start a campaign, I saw a good offer which accepts email as a form of promotion. A friend of mine has a very active newsletter and he would send a note in one of his emails about this offer.

    My questions are:

    1. Do emails have to be in the exact same format as the advertisers want them? I found that they have a special format for newsletters with a special title. Do I need to paste that in the exact same manner. Can advertisers track this somehow?
I ask this because I think I would have more conversions if I would integrate the offer in a text, rather than putting a pre formatted commercial sounding text or banner.

    2. Usually do I need to direct them to my site or directly to the offer page (in this case it is an edu survey). The users should go first to my site?

Then I guess it is a wise idea to hide the referrer.

I ask this, because I have little direct experience in CPA's, and this offer fits really well that newsletter, and probably I could drive even more traffic through direct emails.

And this is the 3rd question. People always inquire my partner about various related questions. Is he able in the future to just give them the link to the offer? Even if it is through direct email and not through the newsletter (I guess yes :) but I want to know if there is a way the advertiser could know the source of traffic - direct email).

Thanks for taking the time and for any suggestions

    SH

    To answer your questions:

    1. Usually yes, you need to keep the email in the same format if you are including a link directly to your offer.

    2. You can be black hat and link them to your own custom landing page or blank the referrer.

    3. Sure, ed offers are notorious for calling the leads. So all your lead has to do is say where the found them and your busted.

I would recommend just blanking the referrer in your custom email.

    1. Ask your affiliate manager. Some networks require your subject lines and content to be approved, some could care less. If it's not specifically stated ASK.

    2. Some networks actually REQUIRE e-mailers to have at least a redirect page to mask the link in the e-mail. If it's not specifically stated, ASK.
