I'm new in the world of blogging. I recently found someone that helped me setup a blogger blog.

But I've been getting messages from Google Search Console about my pages failing to index and something about 'duplicate' and 'canonical' blah blah blah.

I need help on how to resolve these issues so my content can start ranking.

I've attached screenshots for assistance.

This is also quite normal with wordpress, i get these msgs all the time, there are certain pages with redirects like admin side pages, some theme file pages etc, due to which Google console sends such msgs, nothing to be concerned of, i can see that your trend is towards non-index. Better don't add more content, build some backlinks, do internal and external link, i see some clicks, you should create some backlinks for that post/page where you are getting clicks, and some backlinks to homepage, you can create 2 to 3 more articles around the best performing keyword and internal link on that keyword to your best performing page, which is already getting some clicks, this should help.
Google has changed a lot and now you have to wait many weeks for results.

Am at ease learning it's nothing to worry about. The site is a blogger blog and my niche is football. It was setup in February this year and being a sport blog I'm expected to update different news frequently.

For the clicks, I think they're majorly my own clickbacks and refresh.

Four things:

1. Go to blogger.com, Settings > Indexes and Crawlers. Disable the custom robots.txt file.
2. Go to Google Search Console, Settings > Crawling. Request crawling of the robots.txt file.
3. Also, request new crawls of the "sitemap.xml" file.
4. Finally, buy an new Blogger template. The free version you are using is terrible.

You can add the canonical tag using Html code also if your content is A.I written or low value then you have to fix that also. Don't write the same type of content, give valuable information in the content with real life examples. Add necessary tags using HTML like canonical, Schema etc. Research about the topic carefully and add relevant information in it.

I'll do exactly as you suggested.
Pardon me for the late reply.
For the new template, I'm out of budget at the moment hope it doesn't affect my ranking?

Great tip. My niche is football and I write everything myself. No AI generated content. The HTML code thing would be difficult cos I'm not in anyway techie to do that myself. For the tags, I'll work on that I believe I can do that easily with search.

Is this just a hobby project? Because... you won't earn any money from it... Sorry.

Please can you explain why? I'd definitely love to earn money from it. I need to know why you said so, whether to continue or completely back off if it's unscalable.

You can find the reasons for this on tutorials on YouTube alongwith possible solutions. Even if you switch to wordpress, there also these problems will occur.
Nice take but there are too many irrelevant videos on YouTube regarding this. I believe the suggestions here on how to solve those 'error messages' are pretty enough.

Right now I only need a little bit more clarifications on the general view of my blog and someone above already advised I change the template.

A good football template would help. I've started saving for that.

After recent google updates there is barely any space left for small bloggers. The results are dominated by big brands like quora, reddit, forbes and others.... Additionaly google page has changed so much that organic search results are no longer a priority to google. Even ranking in top 10 won't bring you much visitors. You may get some visits but you will be stuck on low level.

I appreciate your tip but are you saying Google has completely scrapped Adsense and other monetizations for new bloggers or that there's minimal chance of survival?

You can still use Adsense but with no traffic you will earn very little.... Blogging is just a hobby. You can't realy earn much from it.
