Note: This is an onpage optimization guide, which is different from a keyword research guide. This section explains how to sort your keywords and where to include them in page content. This is in contrast to a keyword research guide, which explains how to find good keywords, how to determine keyword difficulty, how to tell if a keyword is profitable, and so on. @Zwielicht's thread “https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/3-years-on-bhw-the-only-seo-guide-thats-worth-your-time.873651/” has good information on KW research under “Part 3: Performing Keyword Research.”

Also, @hacko posted a full keyword guide a few days ago. Very clean and easy to follow -- Check it out here:

haven't read it yet but from the look of the comments, it looks like it'll be a good read. Thanks OP!

Good stuff - bookmarked and image saved. I'm too lazy to do all that conditional formatting on Excel but yes I do most of those instinctively when building a page. I probably should be more disciplined and copy that format. And I agree - once your site is aged and has authority, on-page SEO/interlinking can get you on Page 2 minimum of most easy-to-medium keywords.

For meta descriptions, I've found click bait text is more effective once you're in first page to improve CTR.

Everything said is all normal pratice .

I didn' even see other stuff needed that very important .

But nice read.

Was fun

Your arrogance will be your greatest undoing. Literally, every guide on this forum falls short (by a mile) of your expectations. Every thread I stumble upon your comment it's usually to tell the OP how 'basic' their guide is.

If you're really that good, then why are you spending your precious time reading these useless guides?

Some people!

I am curious if you have seen a decline in the power of having your keyword in the title tag over the past 6-12 months?

On my own projects I definitely have. I checked a bunch of market samurai screenshots from back in 2014/15 a few month back and the keywords had around eight of the ten results on the first page with the keyword in the article title. Maybe six month ago I checked those same keywords manually and it had dropped to around four of the top ten. Last week or the week before I checked again and it had dropped to on average only one of the pages in the top ten having the keyword in the page title. I just did a quick check on "how to lose weight" and only three pages on the front page have it in their title with only one having it in its meta description.

My theory is that google are upping their Synonym understandings and reducing the benefit of having the keyword in the title/meta.

Thought about doing this or something similar. This was originally part of a larger series of guides that I've been working on for a while. At 20,000ish words currently. Will probably publish that one as an eBook or website once it's complete.

I believe these are the ones you're referring to:

This is a complete seo course. Thanks

Wow man, this is one of the best on-page guide I have come across on Blackhatworld. I love the way you have simplified the process and added the attachments.
Thanks a lot Matthew!
