    Hello,

I have recently put up 2 gigs on fiverr and I've made my best effort to make them look legit, and i'm offering a lot. I've tried to make my description as long and detailed as possible, i'm aware that the longer and more detailed then harder to deliver the gig because i have to do what i promise but i'm not getting any orders :/ I thought i'd get many orders and then after that i could change my gig to make it more suitable for me to continue it. Can someone please give me tips on how to improve my gig, or hint me on what I've done wrong? If both of my ideas aren't good enough, could someone give me any idea of a new gig? I'm on holiday so I've got time on my hands, but my holiday is over in 3 weeks and i was hoping to sell some gigs. I understand if nobody is buying it but why am i not getting views? This is my first post on BHW, I'm sorry if I've asked way to many questions.

    My fiverr profile is georgetoma5

    Thanks in advance!

We would have to look at your gig to see what may be the problem. If your not even getting gig views I would look at your gig title and especially your gigs Keywords.

Please have a look at my 2 gigs and help me out.Well I've goten 15 impressions and 7 page views on the one and 3 impressions and 18 page views but it's stopped after that, i read somewhere else that people get hundreds before they get sales. What is an impression exactly? Thanks

He provided his fiverr id for this matter.

OP, I would suggest you to remove your age and location from fiverr' profile. Believe me, it effects your sales. That gig where you sell "proofreading and editing 6k words" looks real bargain. Give it some time you must get some orders soon. :)

I agree, some people might look at your age/location and assume you'll scam them and close shop... you offer a great deal, so I would assume you will have some gigs coming in.. You might offer to do some translations: X number of words for X amount.. might help get you some gigs as well

    This....
Looks good. No mistakes and perfect grammar. It takes time. Once you get a few it snowballs from there. Maybe join the skype fiverr exchange group mentioned on here and get a couple of reviews to get you started. I remember it took me 7 or 10 days to get my first then they started flooding in, so don't give up. Maybe look at starting a gig for writing articles to get some credibility and sales even tho you don't want to do them. You can clearly do it. Then just pause that gig or delete it. Don't give up yet

I have put my age onto my profile description which I can remove, but I don't see any options to change my location. I agree with you that people might be quick to judge by looking at location. In fact I am in Egypt at the moment and it still is registering that i'm from Botswana, so since i don't have any reviews yet - do you think I should start a new account with the same gigs, but use a proxy to log in so it registers that i'm from somewhere else?

If it was me, I would go with Whynotmakeits' advice and join the fiverr exchange group to get some positive reviews then see if that helps, that would help ease peoples assumptions some..

You can also try to promote your gigs somewhere else like yahoo answers or some webmaster forums. Try not to give the impression that its your gig or you are promoting it. Say that you have used gigs like this in the past but they take a lot of time as they have too many orders. However, you came across this new gig that looks very promising and TAT is very less as its new. Best of luck!

You need to offer something better than the others to get orders.

The thing about those new gigs are, they're hard to get noticed. Most likely because, someone else offers what your offering, however his service would have more reviews, which means more experience. If buyers were to choose from buying between the both of you, they would most likely buy ones that have actually made sales and have some reviews. So to fix that, you could join the fiverr exchange group.

Agree with above stated, hence why you need reviews, hence why you need to do a gig exchange. Puts you on radar.

take the advise of others, you need +reviews. yeah you should change your location by any means, if it's still saying botswana. what about more specific words like more specific things you can edit, magazine ads, ebay, etc.

You have to change your keywords, your title to optimize it a bit
Then maybe you need to try some review exchanging and you will start getting sales ;)

Thanks for all the replies, they are helpful. I will only be able to work on it and exchange reviews in about 2 weeks but i'll be sure to post back and let you know when I do get some sales. :)

With yahoo answers, how should i try promote it? Should i ask a question in the tone that you've said and ask if I should buy the gig and hope for people to see that question and buy it? Also, i'm not familiar with webmaster forums - may you please suggest one?

You can try to search for an on-topic question that's already posted and answer that by providing 2 fiver gigs. One would be the gig that's successfully running and other would be your gig. Say that the existing one is very time consuming, try the new one here that has very less TAT and providing additional features.

Otherwise, you can create a question like (just a random example) how can I increase my yt views and answer it yourself (with a different acc) by saying, its very difficult and time consuming to do it yourself. Try taking help of someone at <your link>

There are so many ways on how you can do this. Regarding web master forum, just google it and post it in any active forum or multiple forums, groups, etc.

Also for your fiverr gig you should remove your profile photo as you look young. This will put some people off.
You are offering a proof reading gig but your profile description is not grammatically correct IMO, it doesn't read well.

    ...Priceless!

Make a new account, use a US proxy and use a different photo... AND get someone to proofread your profile text

Hi! THANK YOU ALL FOR THESE TIPS!! I made a new account using a US proxy and I got my first order within a few hours. I have had 25 orders so far :D Someone who ordered 15 gigs didn't review any of the gigs even though he said that he would and it's been 2 days. What should I do? About the picture, I will change it - should I put a picture of me with an older look ( with a beard ) or should I just use a google image?
