Child rights activist Kailash Satyarthi and Pakistani teen Malala Yousafzai will share the prestigious Nobel peace prize for 2014. Congrats to Satyarthi and Malala. But shameful things are In Pak many view Malala with suspicion as an outcast, even as a western creation aimed at damaging Pakistan's image abroad and Satyarthi never recieved a single award from Indian govt, and 99% of indians never heard his name (incl. me). http://www.ndtv.com/article/india/k...usafzai-win-nobel-peace-prize-for-2014-604815

My hat is off for both of them, but especially Malala. That is one serious achievement for a teenager.

A young girl who wanted an education
    And spoke out about it
Who was shot in the head by a grown man because she wanted an education
Who was then so brave she refused to be frightened
And continued to speak out about the rights of women to have an education.

If anyone hates her for that, it is them who are the problem, not her.

Malala deserves the award. Receiving nobel at the age of 17 is not possible without contributoin to society. Even I'm an Indian, I respect her. She has great courage, dare to question taliban. I and you don't have that courage, we afraid to spoke a single word against local goon, and cries in twitter, fb that she didn't deserve it. If not she? Then who deserved it? You?

They now join the ranks of other nobel peace prize winners such as Barack Obama who as we know is famous for his drone strikes which murder innocent people from Malala's own country no less.

It's odd that the man who won fights against exploiting children for financial gain, while Malala's father does that very thing to her. This girl wanted to be a doctor. Her father told her that she was not going to be a doctor, and instead she was going to fight for education. Her father owned the school that his daughter was shot at. Parents didn't want their children to go there after she was shot. Her father was becoming broke. People in the US love Malala and see her as a hero. But I see her as an exploited child by her father for his own financial gain. She is his meal ticket and she will do anything to please him. I watched a video where she looked scared of him when he told her that she wasn't going to be a doctor. She's an amazing young lady, but I think the NPP committee should have looked at everything, including her father, and how he controls her every move because he has dollar signs in his eyes.
