I had the same problem, but when i got home with 6-7k/month all things changed. It's all about the money man, its sad but thats the truth.
This is something I am going thru now with no support from friends or family mainly becuase they don't believe in making money online but you just have to keep trying until you reach your goal. I been trying for almost 3 years and have not made any success yet, but I am not willing to give up on something I believe can eventually happen one day.
It is sad but very true, I agree. The minute I started making over 1k a month, my family started taking me seriously. Before that, they thought I was just lazy doing jack shit on the internet. When I said I was working, they used to say, working? What working? You're not going out to work, you're not earning any money, you're not working.
But when you start to earn money, you are suddenly working. Damn it, I used to work harder than I am now, when I was earning $0. I still work hard but not as hard as I used to when I earned nothing, and my whole family thought I was doing nothing.
Now when I say I am "working", they actually accept it. I try to love my family but shit like this pisses me off. They should support you.
I think we all have/had the same issues. You have to be making at least double of the average salary in your country to be taken seriously, and doing it consistently.
Or as someone stated a while ago here - rent an office and buy a suit.
Would also agree that making decent money helps. I still work from home most of the time, which most people consider a joke, even though I make more than a lot of people working 9-5 jobs.
Assuming you're doing okay and your friends still aren't supportive... then it's time to get some new friends!
Thanks for all the support I get from hear
I suddenly feel a lot better and happier.
thank you so very much, I almost wanted to stop IM.
but now have i get the strength from you to continue.
thanks thanks thanks
this is just what I needed
Keep trying, one day you'll get a money idea!
OP, don't let others distracted your dreams. Keep working hard and smartly and then One day you will be succeeded. From my side I am starting Adsense MNS projects recently but I did not earn money yet.
This is what i did. After a few month of spending on whores, clothes and so on i called my mom and ask her if she wants to make a shop or something ( offline ). Now with money from me she have a nice toys shop which brings a lot of cash. The key is to invest ur IM earnings (if u have enough ).
PS. I am glad u feeling better
My friend thought, i'm doing a porn site and scamming people.. LOL. .
In this industry you have to have a unrelenting focus and drive that some people would call obsessive. If you want something bad enough, nothing will stop you from achieving your goal. A failure is only a failure if you stay down. Ive had so many failures I could count on two hands, but I kept going and I'll still never stop. So I hope you turn around your sadness by realizing it takes a special person to be in the industry your in. Good luck
About the same as everyone else, I used to do about 18 hours a day and got looked down at because I made no money, now I do less than 18 minutes a month serious work and people seem to think I have a job as I make money. Difference is, I don't seem to think I have a job now as I barely do anything.
The truth is, NO ONE wants to know/hear about our "behind the scene" hard work.
It doesn't mean your family does not love you, or your friends does not give a shit about you, they are still your family & friends. People are only interested in numbers(how much you make). If you make good money, they will all respect you and hear whatever you have to say. If you don't make good money, the world is very cold place.
Not to discourage you, but just want you to realize the reality. Don't give up!
I would have to agree with everyone else, when people step outside their box from the normal 9 to 5 or add to it, it's hard to get support. But just stick with it, and when the money rolls in they will change their tune. It's hard for people to believe in this, I can't lie until I took on some internet jobs I was one of those people as well. Good Luck and hang in there.
I agree ... and it's even worse when you come from a former communist country (like I do) and your parents have lived under a communist regime for most of their lives. It was treally hard for me in the beginning when I was working my ass off and earning pennies. But it gets better when you start earning a decent income.
Rant: I fucking hate communism. :fuckyou:
That's because you aren't making any money.
This is such a common problem I think I might write a book about it.
A few things that helped me were: Explaining the # of people my stuff was reaching (when you send an email to 30,000 people, that's a number your friends can appreciate). Explaining the success of people around you and people you work with (when a friend, even an online friend, brings in 20k, people take notice - even if it's not you). Helping friends with things they need (like the toy shop idea someone mentioned, but think smaller) often helps. My friend started taking me seriously when I built his website for him and it looked badass. Etc.
Good luck. Eventually, when success comes, people will be amazed they ever worked with you and will just be jealous as hell (which is probably already half of the problem!).
To OP, honestly, SCREW your family and friends... It's as simple as that.
You have to lock in on your goal, become obsessed with it, and achieve it by any means neccessary. I'm actually pissed off right now as I type this to you...
I've had the same problem.. I have a mom that wants you to go to school, go to college, like a "normal" kid.. That shit doesnt fly for me... But just as soon as you're pulling in $10k a month, you're a genius now..
It's pretty disgusting, but its just the way the world is...
My suggestion: Anyone who doesnt have your back, use them as motivation, and than throw your success in their face whenever you get the chance, if you feel their lack of support is REALLY bothering you...
Now, moms, you can skip her... In my life, she's the only idiot I'll give a pass... She can tell me I won't do shit today, and if I have a million in 6 months, she'll still get 100k...
So, that one, you probably want to take for the team..
Anybody else... Use the day you get to throw it in their face as motivation... again, only if it's REALLY bothering you... May be a fucked up way to think, but it is what it is... I only want to help you... I know exactly where you are and sympathize with you.. I've had 10k month success before, and all of a sudden moms tune changes... Now I'm in a rebuilding mode, trying to get back their... Amazingly.. the bitch still has doubts, EVEN THOUGH I'VE DONE IT BEFORE!!!!! (yea, I can call her a bitch, we're cool like that).
OP, I hope this message motivates you to strive for the best. Use your enemies and nonsupporters as motivation if you have to. As long as you stick with it, find you a good niche, study this forum, test it, and never quit... You will succeed one day, guaranteed.
And when you have your $200k house, meanwhile your friends and "family" that doubted you are still working for the man and trying to kiss your ass.. Pull the umbrella out of your lemonade, take a sip, and spit it in their face.
best of luck
Seth I think you shouldn't waste your time on a book, continue to improve ubot because there are a lot of things that need fixing. Also maybe decrease your monthly fees, yeah, that would be nice. Even botmaster only charges 10 bucks a month. ;-)
