    Looks like by 2015 eBay is going to make mandatory their managed return system, and even if you don't take returns, you're going to have to provide an address where people who file disputes can return the merchandise.

    - Tell the buyer to save the item and to give him a partial refund;
    - Tell the buyer to destroy the item with a proof (pics) to give him a full refund;
    - When shipping, write on a sheet of paper there your returning address (that will be diff. from the shipping address) OR to contact you directly by "X" e-mail where to tell the buyer your return address;
    - Give the address of some mail forwarding company that'll forward the package to your home (curious for this, because mail forwarded addresses should be already been "abused" and "overused" by so many people around the globe, tho, but still working; so therefore this means that both eB and PP don't "blacklist" any home-address from a previous banned eB/PP accs, and can be used in the future).

    A lot of buyers won't return to 3rd party address. This won't work unless you're prepared to eat the loss on every single buyer who wants to return.

    Yup.....a good solution unless you're trying to run like 50 stealth accounts like some people.

    If you're selling items valuable enough to need the item to be returned to you, a $50/year or so PO Box/local mailbox shouldn't be too expensive no matter how many accounts you have. Of course, everyone's definition of expensive is different but for me $50 is the magical number where I'd like the item returned to me. So basically renting out a mailbox for a year costs roughly the same as losing a returned item (you'd lose a lot more than 1 item if you don't have access to the address on file). If you're selling items more expensive than that, I think it's a no brainer.

    If you're only selling cheaper items where a mailbox solution may not be worth it, then I'd just refund the buyer. If you're having so many returns/refunds then you may want to rethink that particular product anyway, unless you have huge profit margins (and again in that case, a PO Box shouldn't be too expensive for that account).

    If eBay really puts a return system in place like that it can be solved so easily by doing the old apt trick.

    How can you have 50 po boxes at the local post office. They start to ask what's it all for?
