No more Jr Execs??

Solid suggestion and articulately put, would make the process a community-wide thing which could only be beneficial for all involved.
I feel leaving it community wide thing causes more issues and open for manipulation. The bhw team has spoken, end of story. Accept change, move forward. What's the benefit of turning it into a community thing as it will just add more to the drama, speculation and manipulation.

Typically, people in large groups respond well to gaining more enfranchisement.. it just makes logical sense, and also its in the interests of BHW management to create an environment that is as rewarding and engaging for people as possible - which they're clearly already doing by the end result that we all get to enjoy.

While I agree with what you're saying about the potential risk for manipulation, you don't seem to be an important enough voice to decide on your own that its the "end of story", and in fact the admin that replied to the same comment was supportive of the idea. I was just also supporting ContentExpert's good suggestion - democratisation and the distribution of governance on smaller, non-critical processes like this are worthwhile in almost any situation, and which does typically lead to an even richer and more engaging environment for people.

Will be cool to see if this comes to fruition.

Hey, there's always a possibility it might fail, but at least I can say I tried. ;)
You miss 100% of all shots you never took ;)
I'm looking forward to seeing the changes BHW is brining.
Lots of changes happening in 2021

I feel like this thread has run its course. I've provided a summary below.

Summary
  • An inactivity notice was given to all Jr. Execs a year ago and a PM was sent to everyone who was demoted, as explained here.
  • Regarding the demotions without notice, this is explained here. Demotions have always been like this on the forum, and anyone who works with sensitive information on a regular basis would be familiar with this process.
  • The other Jr. Execs were promoted to Exec through the usual nomination process. Staff were not permitted to vote unless they were already Execs, and mods can't see the Jr. Exec or Exec sections now, anyway.
  • For the Jr. Execs who were voted into Exec, only one of them had a BST and, as previously stated, staff cannot vote in Exec threads unless they were Execs themselves. Execs do not care whether someone has a BST or not.
  • More information was not provided to the former Jr. Execs because this was going to be announcement in a separate post or thread to the community as a whole rather than this thread.
  • The Jr. Exec usergroup is being actively re-worked by the staff members. Exec will be re-worked at a later point.
  • A formula has been created for all future Jr. Execs, and members will begin receiving invites at some point soon.
  • Per @ContentExpert's suggestion, a community-vote for Jr. Exec will be considered at a later date. We need to figure out how to prevent abuse with this kind of system.
