Hi all. I'm hoping someone can help with a dilemma I'm having.

I sell unique pieces of antique furniture from my Squarespace website. I have new pieces arriving regularly which I add to the website with photos and a description.

When I sell a piece, I firstly redirect the original product page to the category page... for example I sell a 'Large pine wardrobe code no.(as123)", so I redirect this to my 'Wardrobes for sale' category page. I then move the old product page to a 'Sold Items' page. Some items are very similar to others I may have sold in the past so the descriptions and product titles may be pretty similar.

My question is should I be putting the sold products in a sold page for Google to index, or should I just be deleting them ?

I have hundreds of items I've sold since I've been doing this. I've checked analytics and I do have some visitors landing on these sold product pages but not many. Is having these hundreds of sold product pages diluting my main pages ?

One final question. If it is best not having these pages is it ok just to delete them all in one go, or nofollow - noindex them ?

Would be great if someone could give me some advice here. Thanks...

    Home Page:
I would leave everything like it is. Let it be indexed. You have links from "sold" to similar "unsold" products, right?

From each sold page there is the main menu above with the furniture still for sale, yes.

Don't delete the old products, it may hurt your website rankings.
leave as it is and no index, no follow them.
