if you have sold around $300 on a gig then you are pushed to bottom of search results for your keywords.
this way fiverr gives chance to new sellers.

yeah, and it sucks, at least if they kept the sorting by "rating" option, because right now it's not diffrent then "auto" , sellers with 96% rating, and 100 sales are ranking on top of "rating" while sellers with 100% rating, and 1000's of sales are all the way at the bottom hehe

If you post a job on my clone I personally promote it for you and guarantee 500 quality hits to it. I concentrate on bringing in buyers. Fiverr concentrates on putting stupid crap as featured on the home page

i think most people stopped trusting fiverr , the quality of the work is terrible by most sellers on there so that reflects on all the sellers . i wouldnt use fiverr again after the last 5 or 6 attempts of trying to get what i actually paid for .

I wouldn't say that's totally true. While there are completely crappy gigs there, but there are certain categories in which sellers really do give value for your time and money.

Fiverr is a moving target, so you have to move with the times. If Fiverr emphasizes newer sellers, launch new accounts and rack up 10 or so quick gig jobs per each account, to get to level 1 (set aside $50 and pay 10 people here to buy your gig, or buy your target gig from 10 different accounts you created, thus getting $40 back ).

Market your gig outside of the Fiverr system, using well-researched keywords to create the gig url, and push the url with lots of backlinks, mentions on forums, etc. Another way to keep on track is to first check the category you're interested in and filter the results by "top rated" and/or "24 hour." These filters should reveal the lion's share of the most popular gigs being bought right now.

seriose ..that you do for 4$ ? i did fiverr gigs because they wer selling the income is not good there. so to promot the stuff yourself i would not sell for 4$. then make yourself a page and sell seo there.

there are some which still make money .. buyes seem to run to this gigs because they think if the other buy it, it must be good. there are more and more offering gigs and if you are not ranked for a good kw and dont have orders you will get no sales.

also the fiver seo market is probably getting smaller. to many ar affraid of buying links to there page and the average user does not built tier 2 or 3.
you must be truthful to yourself .. would you boost your moneyside with this gig you offer ....

I was saying if Fiverr caters to different groups of gig sellers regardless of the good track record your account has established, you shouldn't rely just on the site's internal system to promote your gigs. Build and promote your own MNS preselling your gig as the product, as well as the other ideas suggested. I agree most of the gigs on Fiverr require too much work and time from the seller to be worth the $4 per job. But if the gig is easy to complete, like providing a special list, blast or download to the buyer and you figure out a way to make it popular, it can be worth the promotion.

As a fiverr clone owner that has over 4000 sellers on it, I think it is a shame that MAYBE a fraction of a percent will make some half ass attempt to promote their jobs they list.

IF they promote it, it will be a few tweets with lame twitter accounts.

I find most fiverr/fiverr clone job posters are lazy and rely on the platform to do all the work for them.

Such a shame, there is too much competition on these sites to sit back and do nothing.

For what the platform takes 20% ???

sure for you it would be good if someone creates tht gig and bring his own buyers. but in my opinion if someone take 20% he has to do some stuff as well. If you bring buyer and seller together ...ok.--- but if not it is stupid to find buyers and sell over a platform which takes 20%.
so i can just say i would never promote my gig somewhere myself. if the platform can not deliver buyers - for anyway not enough money - then i dont sell there. A SEO sell page is set up quite fast and then you are free and dont pay 20%.

You are looking at it the wrong way.

That's like going to a job interview with the mindset of "I don't need to promote myself here because THEY are the ones that need the work done"

You are competing against thousands and thousands of people that are selling the same thing
