I just stumble across a keyword which has very low competition and get no 1 position for that keyword in 2-3 days. The keyword gets daily clicks of more than 100 but when I looked at the traffic I hardy get 3-4 clicks each day. The tool I used was seobook to search that keyword. I guess the tool is very inaccurate. To clear things more I am not talking about conversions. I am talking about visitors so obvious visitors won't see quality of page unless he/she click it.

I'm having the same problem I have a site ranked 2nd on a Keyword that is supposedly getting 186 searches a day, but im currently only getting around 25 clicks a day.

I have heard that google estimates are normally alittle off so maybe we both got unlucky and google estimated it alot higher than it actually is?

Hi dude, maybe this will help:
1.Google estimation is not precisely accurate, and there's a possibility that the number is higher than the reality
2.Maybe the trend for your keyword is decreasing
3.You need to build the backlinks in the websites with higher traffic. A genuine legit traffic will help you
4.Check your site main page. Make sure the layout and the content is attracting visitors

I am aware of the fact that they are not very accurate but such inaccuracy (2:100) I guess I better stop using seobook tool, has anyone has such experience with seobook keyword tool?

your point no 4 - I have already told that I didn't bother about conversions and layout content quality matters only then. I am just considering clicks.

The SEOBook tool, last I checked, doesn't actually pull data from Google, it uses metacrawler data.

That said, I've picked a few keywords that seemed to be high traffic but I get nothing from them, even with the top two listings. I generally just chalk that up to me not being careful enough and use the site as a test bed :)

Sounds like it wasn't hard for you to get ranked for that phrase... If that's the case, just take the traffic if gives you and move on. If you had a bunch of those phrases you'd be getting a decent amount of traffic.

That's actually quite good for a second keyword and sounds about right to me. The difference between position #1 and position #2 is HUGE

I agree with majestry, getting over 13% of the searches to your site, aint bad for 2nd position.

Ultimately you would like to be #1. :D

I did a little research on it by using different keyword tools and it turns out that this keyword get very low traffic. With google keyword tool, it shows not enough data. Damn these SEObook assmoles (replace m with h) they have so much inaccurate data, they are still showing 100's of searches per day.
OK guys any suggestion for keyword tool other than google keyword tool which is little bit accurate.
