Am I a complete fool, or is Nichebot a waste of space?

I have not ranked once for "jackpot" phrases which are supposed to have zero competition!!!!!!!

What a load of tosh...

It was made before google released there keyword tool/data. So yes its a piece of crap and don't waste your time.
 
Ya, I think google releasing google external keyword tool just killed all these guys.

I am happy actually that this is happening to one guy, Keyword Discovery, over-charging like crazy.

I am going to get Micro Niche Finder, which I understand taps directly into google external.
 
zero competition? I don't think there is a zero competition in every niche.
 
I think once you think you have found a "jackpot", then go to broad search, and look at the results. If there are wikipedia and other authority sites dominating the SERPs, move on. The problem with some folks is that they do a phrase or inurl phrase match, and they go with that. They might forget that at the end of the day, people don't use phrases around, so the competition is at the broad-match level.
 
The only...ONLY...keyword tool you need is Google External Keyword Tool! And it is free!

Nichebot, Keyword Discovery, Wordtracker, etc. are NOT accurate!

Now here is a BIG tip that many gurus will not tell you:

Make sure you change the match type to "Exact". The match type is the last column on your right. Changing this column to "Exact" will give you the exact, accurate searches per month.

I use this all the time and the results are amazing!
 
Yes its crap but you can't blame a tool that provides you only with keywords for your failed SEO efforts. And yes if you only target Google you should use the free keyword tools they have.

it is true that google external gives you traffic numbers, but then you have to type that into google and see the competing pages... tedious if you are doing volume.

MNF is supposed to do all of that, take the google external traffic data, and let you then easily get the competes.

Tools are as good as the data source. The only one I know (I have not tried yet) that does it right is MNF. Every other one is taking it from another source - which is no good.

per @AdvancedIM Yes, 50% off on CB, use your own aff. Also I was watching demo, and if you wait long enuf, it offers you a USB card version of s/w in addition; I don't know if that shows up automatically as part of the offer.

Ok so looking at google external keyword tool

I have found this to be much faster.

But Nichebot shows you the likely hood of ranking ( we know this is a pile of "shit" now ) but it gives you an idea. Whereas this google tool shows you the competition but not the exact number..

Am I missing something here?

The nichebot principal is supposed to be that you can really hone down what you want to rank for. For example if there are less than 10,000 competing sites, you can try to hope this might be a worthwhile number to work on whereas the G tool only haves you guess..

That said my phrases are around "on line dating" which is going to be ridiculous anyway.

Any further tips before I drive to nichebot HQ with a car loaded with semtex
 
You are right about what nichebot is doing, ranking them (see KEI) and all. The problem is that the data source is NOT google external, so garbage in- garbage out. Well it is not totally useless and garbage, but I would rather deal with google as my data source (since I am targeting google), and not Overture or Wordtracker or xyz data source.

The problem with those tools is that you cannot "trust" the results; once you figure something, then STILL you have to type it into google external, and that is too much duplicate work.
 
Is there any tool to show you competition for the keyword? As in, rather than numbers it shows you the highest ranked sites.
 
@platinvm, I am on the verge of buying MNF. What is the diff between that and Samurai. Should I opt for Samurai?
