Hi, I am quite new internet business and I am from quite small country in central Europe. I want to build niche website and make some money on the long term. When I look for niche website ideas I only get ideas that in my country doesn't have enough searches per month. But on the other side, some topics are very competetive and I don't have enough knowledge to compete with them. But there must be some undiscovered hot topics... so I hope that maybe some of you can help me by suggestig ideas.

    Thanks for everything!

ps. sory for my bad English... I promise I'll improve my english

I understand that.. but don't find good niches.. some are too small, others are too competitive :(
Have you got any suggestions? How searches per month it should have, that it could become profitable?

Hey man, I am also form Central Europe and I am earning my living in IM very successfully. So if it's possible in my post communist country, it's also possible in yours ;).
Obviously, in your local market, it's impossible to make it with small niche site, or some sort of typical Adsense website, etc... However, there are other models, where you can combine some online and offline methods, and achieve, let's say, $200/1000 visitors, so you can do your math... You do not need millions of visits to make living.
These methods are highly saturated in all English speaking countries, but might not be saturated in your market.
If you want, I can send you a PM with my ICQ, and we can talk more about this. Let me know.

Why does it have to be your country?

Isn't the biggest benefit of the internet that it crosses borders instantly?

Pick the most profitable niche possible, and build (real) local links like crazy.

    Hi Ziga,

I'm from Slovenia and I can tell you that you can't make a living with just Adsense or even worse Httpool ads. You would have to have one of the most visited websites, like 24ur or Kulinarika.

The online, offline model also doesn't work. I know a lot of people that tried it and failed. The SEO niche is too competitive and there are bigger companies that dominate the market.

I have been working online for almost 6 years now and I wouldn't even dream about trying to make money in my country. Even the ones that do make money here, have websites and businesses in the international markets.

English language should not be a problem, you can hire writers to write articles for you.

Also, check these three Slovenian websites: zasluzek.org, internetmojster.com and zasluzinainternetu.com that can help you understand more about Internet marketing.

It does work but you should get some business skills besides internet marketing. Internet marketing is the cheapest method to get sales so far.
