Is there any sort of directory of all the newspapers across the USA?

Good directory, its missing some that I know of.. but pretty complete

here is another directory, this one is not complete either but if you are looking for something specific, it could be on one of these...

I couldn't find the link with a quick search but I believe there is a category for newspapers in the Yahoo directory.
 
About 15 years ago a I found a service that would print your ad in thousands of small newspapers (not the large circulation ones) for a very reasonable price. The overall circ was several million and the ad cost was around $200. I have lost track of the service.

Does anyone know of a link or a service similar today. It could come in very handy for offline Marketing. Thanks

Didnt google have something like this but was later discontinued?
 
I have not heard of the google service. When do you remember seeing it?

I've seen this before as well. Has anyone tried this? I'll probably give this a shot next month and report back.
