    Hey mate,

Check out newzbin.com, it is by FAR the best nzb search engine. It is about $2 a month but trust me man, its awesome and absolutely worth it. It is currently invite only, but I have one I can give to you. Shoot me a PM if you are interested.

Aren't these Usenet bit like private trackers ? or do they actually host the files on their servers and let you download them ? But i don't really think you will find anything better there than from torrent sites

I've been using usenetserver.com for years, 120 day retention, 8 threads, and Downloads at your connection MAX unless you throttle it down yourself.

Newsgroups are where it's at IMHO. Super fast with a good server, and anything you can find on a torrent you can find in the newsgroups.

You do not need to Use NZB's if you feel like picking through millions of threads by hand, which is easy with the "Newsbin" reader. Which will sort the threads for you.

    Or You can use
    Code:
    http://www.newzbin.com , http://wwwnzbsrus.com , or http://www.nzbmatrix.com

if you want to use nzbs, which makes usenet life much easier :)

Hope that helps, if you need any help with your USenet adventures let me know, I've been using it for years.

    Hope that helps.

The difference is, Speed, and Availability. There are NO ratios that need to be kept, there are NO speed issues, barring a Downed server, which is usually repaired quickly. and Completely anonymous using the SSL services which most GOOD Providers offer now.

I don't use IM's lol, sorry bro, post your questions here, and I will answer For you as best I can :) and don't buy any software lol, you can get all the software you need for free, You only need to pay for the server, and Optionally an Indexing service.

Giganews is a good choice, one of the top providers, Grabbit is a good reader also. I use newsbin myself, but as long as you can utilize NZB files your good.

Now As a News Newb, your gonna wanna spend at least $2 usd and sign up for an indexing service, I've used newzbin.c0m forever lol, highly recommended, you can create an account for free to browse the NZBs but you need to pay $2 to download unlimited NZBs a month.

Now there are 2 other indexers that have a free option, but your limited to how many NZBs you can download, and aren't quite as large as newzbin.

    1st:
    Code:
    http://www.nzbsrus.com
free account limited to 5 nzbs a day.
    2nd:
    Code:
    http://www.nzbmatrix.com
free account limited to 20 a day and no older than 20 day's. Some files you'll want will be 2 and 3 months old.

I would sign up for one of the free ones, to start so you can get a handle on downloading. Then once you get a handle on it, I'd recommend highly upgrading to a paid account, it's cheap.

Let m eknow what you do and I will help you through your first Download.

once your logged in, look at the top, theres categories there, movies, games, browse all, etc....

go to the apps section, and on the drop down, choose PC (if thats what you have)

on the next page pick a small app for learning purposes and just to the left of the app name, there are 3 Icons, the first one is to download the nzb directly the second is to download it in .zip format. The third is to say thanks.

As a free member you have to download it in ZIP format, and unzip it into whatever folder you want your NZBs to be located, it doesn't matter, I put mine in the same folder I download the apps, movies to.

    Yup, like a .torrent

An nzb lists all the chunks the newsreader needs to download and where there at, to reassemble the file.

    basically:

    1) Download NZB.
    2) Load NZB into newsreader
    3) Newsreader Downloads all the pieces and reassembles them on your Computer
    4) You unrar, unzip whatever, and install program.

    In a nutshell :)
