Maybe Im on a rant maybe not, but I think there should be some restrictions on new members receiving downloads and requesting downloads. I think the mods may be working on this, but I get really irritated when I see the first post say Hi Im xxx Im new here, does anybody have xxx? Thats not cool. Please post any feedback on the topic

yes , i think that is an abuse of the forum and the helping nature of the forum members

when i see noobs requesting something, i do not even bother do read the thread. When i see people that i know requesting something, or reputable members, not only that i read, but i also do my best in order to find something to help them.

But first they should read everything in here.

Do you know how much information is in here or do you know how many times someone asks something that is already in here?

Have to agree with you guys. I have been fulfilling some of these requests because I got a bit carried away with the new power of that Alexa thing. I am over it now.

Hi

Even though I'm a newbie myself, I can understand how you feel.

Newbies should be taught to use the search button first, before making any requests.

Maybe Luther can put up a "Must Read" page with all the do's and dont's and proper netiquette.

Just my 0.02c.

I am a noob and I agree with all of you. I would not dream of asking for free software. I appreciate it when it is offered but us noobs should be reading and asking questions not handouts.

So thanks in advance for answering any questions I may ask in the future.

I couldn't agree more. i'm brand new myself, and wouldn't even think about making any requests yet. Jesus, get to know the forum and a couple people in here before you even think about throwing a request out there. People always want something given to them, i don't know if it isn't obvious to a couple newbs on here, but there's a shitload of info and freebies freely posted.
