    HEY HEY!

I have 2 websites that I submitted to over 200 search engines including google and yahoo and I get a little traffic every now and then from the search engines but you know where I get most of my traffic from? YOUTUBE!
I want to share a little concept about advertising on youtube with you guys but i'm not sure if there was a subject about this already but here goes..

Here's what you should consider doing first. Do research on events, I don't mean small events, I mean HUGE events, SUPERBOWL HUGE..
So here's the deal, you need to be like an Internet paparazzi, after you research your programs, RECORD it to a VHS, lots of infamous moments happen and people would love to get a second chance to watch a replay of it, like when they log onto YOUTUBE the next day :)

So the next thing you do is get a hardware for your computer that can rip that clip from the VHS so you can edit it on your computer. How do you edit it? Well all you need to do is make and introduction and an ending.
    For example:
Your INTRO should say something like "This video is brought to your by www________com" and for the OUTRO use "thank you for watching, visit us at www_________com.
You can also place your URL on the description next to your video on the upper right hand corner on youtube so that everyone who plays your videos will easily see your URL. (this a trick that i've seen in many ebooks on driving traffic using youtube)

That's it! However YOUTUBE is very strict about copyrighted materials but so far they haven't messed with me or the millions who post clips from shows all the time. If someone can look into this for me i'd appreciate it. Here is YOUTUBE Guidelines for posting videos below...

"Do not upload any TV shows, music videos, music concerts, or commercials without permission unless they consist entirely of content you created yourself. Please refer to our Copyright Tips page for some guidelines and links to help you determine whether your video infringes someone else's copyright."

    -------
I know, it's a risk but oh well if they complain just remove the video, or they might do that themselves...

Could you imagine? Remember MISS TEEN SC? The girl who had to answer that question about maps? Well her clip on YOUTUBE now has over 26 million viewers. I would so put my URL throughout that WHOLE video and let 26 million people kill my bandwidth haha.
Anyway's I hope someone finds this useful if you don't OH WELL! hahh if you would like to see some videos I've made on youtube for my website's I'd be happy to post the links.
    just reply or PM me.

This is a cool idea. Great way to get some massive traffic based on events.

Sounds good, but is recording via VHS the only way. Maybe it's better to rip videos online? Is that possible?

It would mean your site or affiliate url has to be related to the video content you put up.
Any other way to use the traffic?

    Thanks.

Record to VHS??? Seriously, there are some very nice digital camcorders that record directly into mpeg format, therefore eliminating the need for any kind of ripping and converting.

    Thanks for the share though!

I put up a video and watermarked with a ringtone link. I can not seem to draw any traffic to my site from youtube. Instead of putting the link before and after the video, the link is kinda branded on the video while it plays.

I just dont know how to convert youtube traffic. This seems difficult
