I found out about IM maybe 3 or 4 years ago when someone tried to sell me a method involving adwords and using it to link to some site making people think they'll see celebrity tits or something like that. I read up on it for a while, but I eventually just stopped because I wanted to focus on my studies. I wish I had done something instead.

So I'm sick of sitting around and reading, but I don't have a big budget. I want to start with CPC, but I'm pretty sure I would lose it all. I know it takes probably $500 minimum to test a campaign with adwords, and it would be a huge blow to lose all that along with the cost to have a page designed, hosting, keyword research services, tracking, and whatever else I might have missed.

I need an initial flow of cash, so I've thought of something. The basic plan would be to set up a wordpress site and use SEO to get it to rank in a mid-competition niche. I'd post maybe 3 - 5 articles per day, link build daily, use social bookmarking, and try my hand at facebook for traffic as well. I'd monetize with adsense.

The problem with this is that I heard it takes really, really long to start seeing the money compared to when I first read up on this stuff a few years ago. that really bums me out. so I wanted to ask you guys if it's still possible to see a good cash flow within 2 to 4 months if I work hard at this.

I heard CPV is relatively cheap to start with, so I might continue to do research with that too. But I'm sick of reading and not taking action. I need to finally do something. I'm just looking for a little advice. CPC is so expensive, but it also seems possible to start making money from the first week with it. but I can't afford to lose that much cash right now. I'd rather take the risk when it's a little safer.

    thanks for reading.

with adsense and CPC through seo it will be very difficult to get a steady income.. I'd say to start off with youtube/instagram etc. they are really bringing money with very little investment but with a very hard work.
The main thing to keep in mind is just don't give up and work hard!
I never made money with adsense and not planning to, as it is hard as hell to get visitors, and once you get the visitors there are many other ways to make money.
Check the Journeys Section, it will give you many ideas on starting off

Dude, thanks for the quick reply. I don't want to jump into something that won't work, but I do want to take action very soon. I feel ready, even if it does bomb I'll learn something. It's never bad to pay for an education.

I'm hesitant to do youtube stuff because I don't wanna show my face/voice online, but I'll check the journeys section like you said.

I dunno if youtube and instagram would stay stable for too long. that's why I want to get into adwords in the future, and I definitely want to diversify and have multiple sources of income. I'm ready to put in a lot of hard work. I know I'd enjoy working toward an income online.

So does anyone else have any advice? I want to read and do some more research, but I also want to get started as soon as possible. Instagram seems like a good place to start for now, but I want to move into more secure whitehat stuff later on. I feel like Instagram won't be around for long, and I want to turn IM into a living eventually

This board moves fast, so I hope it's not so bad if I double post once

Be the end all be all/best source of information on a specific topic and people will kick your "door" in with cash. Screw adsense.

Quality links, quality content, wait for 6 months and you you'll make something.

I've seen a lot of people saying it's too hard to make money with adsense these days. I don't know if that's because it takes about 6 months to make a lot or if it's actually that difficult. I'll probably try instagram or something in the meantime, but eventually want to get into adwords and CPV

you can lose your ass with cpc/cpv but if you have the funds to burn you will learn and be able to turn a profit after a while

Yeah, I can't think of anything else to do. It seems like the best way, but it takes some losses at first. That's why I need to start small, somewhere else at first

The easy money is harder to get, but the money made from working just requires you know actual work.

Let's not pretend we work 8 hours when we really worked 3. You can get a tremendous amount of work done in 3 hours, an unbelievable amount in 8. Multiply those 8 hours by 5, and then that by 4, and then that by 4 (640, jackasses).

4 months is a lot of time IF you spend it wisely, because it flies by if you don't. 2012 is almost over.

Definitely true. A lot of people make good money working office jobs, getting paid for 8 hours when really they do 3 or 4 hours of real work. I want to do work, I don't want to sit around getting "easy money". I just need to figure out what exactly to do. I still can't tell if setting up a blog with adsense is good, but the general consensus seems to be that it isn't.
