Newbie seller - how can i avoid legal matters?

Hi all, I want to try my hand with ebay dropshipping and what not but I'm really worried about the legal matters with this. I have read a lot of stories about the FBI storming to a seller's house and taking their bank account(s).

I'm really not looking for serious full income from this method. $25 per day seems fair. I have read that low profit is the way to fly under the radar.

Let's be real -- how many people sell legit stuff from dropshipping? I'm still learning about selling online but its my understanding that MOST people sell replicas, some seem more real than others.

Not really, I sell legit stuff and have been doing so for a while now. Actually, very few people sell replicas. It's a tough game. There's good money in it for sure, but it's risky.

There are a ton of great items out there that can be dropshipped that are legit.

there are a lot of people in Ebay selling items that are legit and making money of them here is a tip do your research, read some books find something every one needs or wants and then just provide the item its that simple arts is a very good niche and not much competition.

I looked into a few dropshippers and I read that someone said it seemed like they were selling burned cds with labels on them.

I'm really nervous about going into dropshipping, too.

dropshipping is risky unless you have reliable supplier.. many people got problem because of dropshipping..

You should also make it clear to the buyer that you're an affilate or sales-rep for the actual supplier, that the returns, warranty, claims etc should be addressed to the supplier and not you.

Make that clear to the buyer, make him tick a box on your order page for TERMS of service and you should be more or less safe.

there are numerous websites devoted solely to dropshipping and will cover all returns no q;s asked. I have used them for years, and last year made 25k profit.

Reading your post it doesn't sound like you know how to even dropship in the first place. The dropshipping business isn't as easy as it sounds and finding a legit, reliable dropshipper that can actually make you a profit is hard.

The FBI aren't going to raid your house if you make $25 a day. They've got better things to do than busting small fries making less than $1k a month. Even if you deal in replicas or fakes the FBI won't get involved until it's become a considerable operation. Considerable meaning you're taking in tens of thousands per month.
