Are you on about EMD exact match domain? It means your domain name is your keyword.

EMS stands for Exact Match Searches (per month).

Regarding tools... well, I'm not talking out of experience but at least it will be a base for other people to add their opinion... Long Tail Pro (the premium version) seems to have an indication for competitiveness.

Please just open a single thread with all the questions, not multiple newbie questions of the day threads. Serves your purpose better as well.

All the tools do basically the same job, they take their information from keyword planner.

Its more about how you interpret their finding, stick with one tool
and after a while you will get a feeling for its results

None are accurate, because google gives wrong information anyway. So basically it comes down to experience,

No single tool can give you that perfect anwser, theirs so many factors to take into consideration when making that final decision, backlinks onpage who ranks on first page ect.. ect...

Exact Match Search. And LongTailPro is by far the best keyword research tool. I would love to see someone debate against it. Google it, I think they offer free trials still.

As a user of LTP and used to be on Platinum subscription, their Keyword Competition (KC) algorithms are not so effective with the KC above 20. And, yes, KC below 15 is very easy to rank because I've checked them manually to confirm; above that, just take your math and chance. Yet, I doubt you'd find that low KC with enough amount of EMS (Exact Match Searches).

I have no idea with MS because my internet connection is very slow and MS won't allow me to use their software effectively, so refunded!

The best tools to search for competitive keyword measurement is you brain. Automatic tools are just the hind and fundamental to give the way to manually analyze the competitors.
