Hello! I'm pretty new to PPV and I would have some questions to ask the more experienced ones.
1. Do you bid for keywords/urls/keywords and urls? Which is the best tactic?
2. How big is your keyword/url/ list?
2. What's your general CTR on a campaign?
3. Does PPV traffic convert well? ROI is okay?
4. What kind of offers work well on PPV?

Thank you for your time! Help a newbie! :D

Thanks deadzed for the answer! I'm waiting answer for the other questions too :D.

Here are 2 more questions I have:
- What is "individual user cap"?
- Should I do campaigns in weekends?

Hello! I'm pretty new to PPV and I would have some questions to ask the more experienced ones.
1. Do you bid for keywords/urls/keywords and urls? Which is the best tactic?

I bid on URLs. Keywords, unless they're extremely targeted, can eat your budget VERY quickly. Of course the same applies to poorly targeted urls. Let wikipedia slip through and you're screeeeewed.

2. How big is your keyword/url/ list?

Depends on the offer and how much patience I have with building lists. Most are several hundred since there's no penalty for loading up a ton of them like there is with Adwords. Of course there are financial penalties and headaches for some offers. The financial penalty is if you get non-converting URLs that have high traffic. The other is in tracking. If you can't use effective tracking, you have to break your lists up into smaller groups and see which ones have converting urls/keywords inside. Then break those down into smaller chunks still as time goes on. You're losing money on the ones inside those groups that aren't converting until you find the nuggets of gold.

So larger lists give you more chances to find the good ones, but also run the risk of wasting a lot of money while you weed out the non-performers.

Simple answer: as many as I can find at first, only the ones that are profitable in time.

2. What's your general CTR on a campaign?

Too broad a range to answer. Depends on the offer.

3. Does PPV traffic convert well? ROI is okay?

Depends on the offer and how well you target your audience.

4. What kind of offers work well on PPV?

Depends on the offer and the PPV network (e.g. how they get their popups, how often they display etc.)

Thank you for your time! Help a newbie! :D

Glad to help if it did. It's really hard to answer questions like these because the answer is always the same, "It depends". There's no perfect answer. Sorry.

@Scubaslick - thank you very much! The answers were good, not to worry! I thought too that most of my questions will have the same answer "it depends(...)" :D.

Just to add a little bit to this, I would say that any offer can be profitable on PPV, just as it can be profitable with PPC. The trick is to target the correct demographic you are looking for. Another way to put it is to match the offer to the people that are seeing your ads. Are they gamers, stay at home moms, etc... Just another way to look at things. And I target both keywords and urls. The real answer is you just need to test, test, test and go from there.
