    Hey guys

Up until now, I have been buying a lot of BST services but ultimately first panda then penguin totally killed my sites. So now I have one site that I really don't want to mess up so I have only been trying to get some great links for them.

So my super newbie question: If I buy a PR7, 8 or 9 link (DA/PA 80+) on a monthly subscription have you guys immediately seen an increase in SERPS once the link is indexed?

It will probably take 7-14 days after the link has been counted for your rankings to change. Typically this has been my experience with any sort of linkbuilding.

It will take a little while.

And you should try to get as many high pr links as possible.

The people selling you the links are just going to put them on a sub page and you could do that yourself if you can figure it out. Unless they actually own the site lol.

so you've seen an increase in serps? anything massive?

My domain's main keyword only is around 11% and the rest are naked links and other assorted keywords. So i have been really extra careful when link building. So it doesn't have any high pr links at the moment but the DA of the links have been really high, atleast over 50 and some cases 90+. This will be the first time I get a high PR link...but DAMN they are expensive so I am alittle weary to be honest.

Private blog posts works well but all of a sudden getting very high PR links is not the right way. There are many good blog posts services in BHW just diversify and build web2.0 properties side by side hope this can gain you some serp movements.

actually I have been avoiding web 2.0 properties (aka web 2.0 profiles) all together because they just look too spammy for me.

I read somewhere that G will be cracking down on private blog networks and I already got screwed when G killed BMR so I have been avoiding those as well...

and the private blog networks here on BHW look really great but they are way too popular. Matt C commented that he does read the BH forums and I'm pretty sure he saw them in the services section..

damn am I too paranoid? I've lost too much money after panda and penguin :(

basically every site that over optimized the anchor text (which was 99% of my portfolio) got hit. All the sites in the BST that only allow you to choose a couple keywords should be avoided IMHO.

Actually if you have the cash, I would probably only use the services here in BST for 2nd, 3rd and 4th tier links and not directly point them to my money site. So for example, I got a yahoo voices article with my link and then built 2nd and 3rd tier links.

A lot of people here and legit SEO forums are recommending that your main anchor text should be around 15% and mine is under that and is doing well so far.

    Anyways so my question...

A high PR link with excellent 80+ DA/PA (but costs a sh!tload monthly), will it immediately result in an increase in serps?

Of course a link that strong if legit will cause an increase in your SERP. How much of course will depend on what keyword you are targeting and the strength of your competitors.

If it costs a lot of money though you may be better off buying a bunch of lower PR links or join a private network etc.

Don't believe the whole PR8 is worth 39552953159214921591529159125921592159515 times more than a lower PR link.

If that were true people would only invest in one of those and call it a day.
