I'm not sure if you want to work hard at IM because you are saying two different things as far as I can see.
If you want to make money online, it is no different that making money off line, you have to put in a lot of time and effort as a business owner. You are not going to be able to hang out at your home taking care of a newborn and still operate a successful online business.
That being said, take a look here and see if you want to work this method... it makes money if you put the time and effort into it.
If you can build sites why not start promoting hosting offers by saying you'll build people a website for free if they sign up for hosting through one of your affiliate offers? Easy $100 a pop. Make them write exactly what they want to have on their site and just toss up a template & copy and paste the text.
Slum around facebook & myspace looking for bands & up and coming small businesses that seem like they would want something like that and start sending messages.
First thanks for the reply. I completely understand what you are saying and believe me I know. But basically what you have just said is all these ebooks/wso's are all lying saying the business' are on autopilot? If not then how can I not work for a period of say 1-2 hours a day like everyone here says they do and spend the rest with my baby?
Thanks for the suggestion. I will definitely consider this as it is definitely a way I can make money with some good honest work from home but quite frankly i would like to move away from that side of things as it has been a bitch tbh in the past hehe
They are, for the most, part 99.9% bullshit.
IM is my full time occupation, I work 65 hours weekly and make an average of 9,000.00 USD monthly.
I do a lot of writing, outsource some work to a couple of guys in Bangladesh, another in India, one in Vietnam and every now and then to a guy in the Philippines.
It's a business, Sam, and if you want a successful business you can't get sucked into these ebooks that belong in the back of a comic book. A successful business requires constant learning as things change rapidly as well as efforts to plan, build, market and analyze.
I meant to put this link my initial response:
Not sure what I did that it didn't take.
So basically what you are saying is that IM isnt an easy goldmine its just like the 9-5 jobs. To be quite honest you are the first person I have seen here to say these things and I can really read the negativity from your posts, no offense intended.
No offense taken.... there is a goldmine but it is not easy. If you are a sharp guy, and I get that you are, you just have to take one of the methods that are out there and give it a run.
Do the 1 - 2 hours daily thing and see what revenue you generate... I'm willing to bet you a round of golf at Royal County Down that you would be disappointed.
Then work like I do... put in 65 hours in a week and see what kind of revenue you will generate... you'll be more than pleased.
I would hate to see a young guy with a new baby end up losing money on some hair brained scheme that was touted for 47.00 on WSO.
Thanks for your help. Its deeply appreciated.
The truth is money CAN be made online, you seem like a decent writer, do some research and either get into flipping sites/writing articles or even ebooks.
Check out flippa(.com) - See what is selling there, a niche website with 5-10 articles and an unique ebook ready for opt-in may well sell for $300 a pop = sold to a future customer and continue. If you can whip one site up a day, go for it. If you can whip up 5 a day outsourcing , you might make $100 profit a site, but you're making $500 a day for basically half the work and 5 times the repeat customer.
Couple of things you might of noticed in the above example:
Outsourcing - Cheap and incredibly time efficient, you can make so much more and have so much more time it's not funny. However the original training and setting up is what takes time - once that's ready you can reap the rewards.
Repeat customers - If you're selling something, one thing you'll want to do is have a little list set-up, so next time you have a product you can email them and see if you get a buyer before you even pay the listing fee. You'll notice a lot of sellers on Warrior Forum sell out quickly or get reviews before even launching, this is partially due to their rep on the forum, however a lot of it goes towards there repeat customers that just keep buying if they like what they see.
In terms of niche products, flipping, etc if you can establish yourself as a 'guru', an BIG income is more than possible and easy to obtain. However one thing you need to learn is 'gurus' made themselves, they started off just like you, spending hours at the computer making $10-$50 a day. Those that didn't, had money to invest right off the bat.
So unless you have a good start-up fund, your first and possibly only option is hard work, make that money - outsource the method and either continue with it less hours a day, or move onto something else and invest some money to get started.
I'm still in highschool and make as much as I want, I've made $1-2k+ (a month) the last few months, sure it's not that much, but for a school kid, my job is pretty fun and I only spend about 3-5 hours a week.
So yeah, I know this post was long, and I hope I didn't drag it on too much, hopefully you understood what I was talking about. Keep reading methods, as soon as you find a good one give it a try and see if it works, if not, try again, twist, etc or try something else.
Good luck to you on your journey to making an online income!
I don't think he is intending to be negative, just trying to bring you back down to reality. All the ebooks include a lot of hype in order to get people to buy. Just think of the disclaimers on tv infomercials, 'testimonials may not be typical for the average person' type things. The same thing applies to every method you find about IM. What that means is that most of the systems will work, but not everyone will succeed with it.
There is a lot of money that can be made online, but it is still going to involve work. If he is the first person that you've seen say that, then you need to read through the posts on this site a little more thoroughly. I think in most of the threads here you will find the same thing being said over and over. If you expect to get rich without doing anything, it probably won't happen.
Having said that, don't be discouraged about the ebooks and posts telling you how to make money. Most of the methods can work if you are willing to put in the time. Just remember to look beyond the hype. Once you find something that does work you may be able to automate it and drastically reduce your time investment, but you have to work to get it started.
Keep at it and you can make good money. I wish you luck to find a niche that works for you.
