hi all, I hope I can get some tips/tricks or clue in this affiliate business.
This is my website : hxxp://wxw.mitub.com (change the 'x'). I use traffic exchange program and adwords to promote my website, so far I don't generate any sale from this website ... but I try to keep updating daily.

I join amazon and CJ, but it's difficult to find stuff in CJ which has cheaper price than amazon. I can't use clickbank or e-bay, my country is not listed. I love this affiliate website : thegreenhead.com, they are full of amazing stuff, unfortunately most great vendors that sell unique stuff from CJ automatically reject when I apply.

I realize that my niches are too general, i'm afraid if it's too minor, I can't find new products/news for my website.

Please tell me am I doing the right thing with the website? Or I need to start all over again using different method ?

First your domain name is wrong.
First look at your domain name and i thought you are selling bath tub?

Secondly try to concentrate on one niche only.
If you want to sell cell phones then skip other products like tv,lcd or refrigerators.

Trust me , i make this mistake once!

@Darkman, thank you for the tips, I chose mitub coz at that time I still didn't know what i was going to sell (still don't know I guess), so I bought general meaningless domain.

Rule number 1 : related domain name with the products (maybe mitub is more suitable with bathroom related stuff)
Rule number 2 : concentrate on one niche only

Amazon is currently in a very good position because of their ability to utilize their ever-growing userbase as pricing leverage with publishers and manufacturers. Much like Wal-Mart in many ways. If you can draw people into a gateway/doorway site and get them to click, it is far more likely that they are going to click and buy something on Amazon than on an off-brand site. It should also be noted that if the numbers each company is putting into their books are legitimate, users are much more likely to buy from Amazon than they are from eBay.

    B4 buying a domain , do a research first.
Which niche to jump to & use Google keyword suggest to buy a domain name that contains a keyword that people search for.( this is very important ).
The other one to look for is one way link to your website from other website with the same niche as yours.
    One forumers here recommends neurolinker.

I suggest you buy the Super Affiliate handbook by Rosalind Gardner to get started.
PM me if you want to buy it.:)

Adwords is going to suck your money out. Search for ways to drive traffic to your site. There are many in this forum.

If you are on CJ, just add as many niches websites as you can into your account (anyone's website, they won't know). Then apply for the offers you want to promote. More niches will give u better chances in CJ, infact if you want to promote an offer on shoes, google and get a website or blogs on shoes and add them into your account. Tried this before on a "test" account and got approved better than normal account.

    My 2 cents.

Before you even buy a domain test your niche using a free service like wordpress or blogger. I mean your not even pulling traffic in under a natural means, it's not like you even need a domain to run adwords. Before I buy a domain I test it using adwords my self, but If the niche isn't hot I won't waste my money on a domain.

It seems like you need to do some testing and find what it is you looking to promote and what keywords works the best for that product. Adwords is not the easiest way for you to start generating money when beginning a new niche.

Social networks is always the best in my opinion, articles , videos and so on. It will give you a rough idea on what keywords are the best for promoting that product. With adwords the chances are pretty high you will lose money rather then earn.

If your motivated and determined you can make lots of money. It's very possible to make money online without spending a dime on advertisement, I make more money from free forms of advertisement then I do with adwords.

    Good luck

Same here. I'm afraid of spending my money on Adwords but if you want quick results then Adwords can help.

I'm concentrating on SERP (search engines results page) - that is organic traffic. Although the results are not quick but nonetheless it's free.

Remember, only about 24% of search engine usersdo actually click the PPC(Sponsored ads).

SEO is the cheap way (If you do it yourself or get cheap services) but it takes time and most people don't want to wait 1-2 months for organic traffic.

Choose your adwords keywords wisely, find words with sufficient searches but the least competition.

    Hope this helps.

I believe if you search here you can find the Super Affiliate Handbook for free download.

It is a start, and a good read for noobs.

I think if you are doing cs promotions and BH on the domain, then the domain name matters much less...

If you are truly trying to grow a long term business (for THIS website), than your domain and your tactics will matter as much as your product line (niche).

Also, relying completely on Amazo is hard regardless, they are great, and people DO buy, but a 24 hour cookie is a tough close - unless of course you are pushing a fast mover. - Even with those, it is still better to be dedicated to some products (as others have said)... at 4-7% commission too, unless you are selling a lot.

Once you have your (amazo) product, then find 2 or 3 more competing products from another affiliate program... your visitor sees you did the research already for this product... any one of the three they buy from - you get a sale... AND, I am sure you will make higher commissions from the non-amazo products.

    Go for it!
