Hello everyone. Not sure if this is the correct section of the forum to write my question in but basically I'm trying to help someone to promote their website by bringing it up in the google search system and getting some traffic, specifically from local users if that is possible. What would you recommend for me to do in order to boost visitors to the website and if I were to use someone's services from bhw who would that be (if those are offered at all) ? And how much do you think it would cost to bring at least 100 users ?

Make sure you are getting the most out of your blog content by localizing it. Use your local knowledge and expertise as a foundation of your content marketing strategy. Social media sharing will tend to get good number of visitors per day. You can do it by your own or hire local SEO persons.

Answering the OP's question... make sure that on the website that all of the local towns/cities are listed such as: this company does business in New York, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Staten Island, etc. Provide a local phone number. Have Twitter, Facebook Fan Page, Google+ page, Pinterest, and other social media accounts. Install a blog and update several times a week, then share the link on all of the social media sites.

Depending on the size of your area, use social media. Also throw a post up on craigslist about what you have to offer.
If they are selling something, but a picture, a little description and where they can buy it.
Might be beneficial. Good luck OP

The best way to get your site noticed by people in your area is to do some offline marketing. If you don't mind spending $10, you could potentially get around 1000 leaflets and put them in peoples doors. That way if your site is beneficial, you just gained a unique visitor.

Create some tier1 backlinks targeting local traffic would be enough and could be done by you.
