So I was obsessively tracking my page indexing for my new website (~2 weeks) and noticed some weird google behavior. They indexed a fair chunk of my pages overnight but then a few hours later I saw they were deindexed. Hours later they're still deindexed. Is this normal behavior?

It takes between 4 days and 4 weeks for your brand new website to be crawled and indexed by Google.

Below these are the some of the reasons for de indexing ,
Thin Content . According to Google, thin content is defined as having little or no original content. Having thin content can result in Google deindexing your site.
A website is typically deindexed for one of two reasons. Either: Google has taken a manual action on your site. Someone accidentally made a mistake in the code of the website to cause the deindexation.
Too much duplicate content on a site can confuse search engines and make them give up on indexing your site. If multiple URLs on your site are returning the exact same content, then you have a duplicate content issue on your site. To correct this problem, pick the page you want to keep and 301 the rest.

Check if you have any crawl errors .
Google will not index some pages on your site because it can't crawl them. Even though it can't crawl them, it can still see them. To identify these crawl errors, go to Google Webmaster Tools → Select your site, → Click on “Crawl” → Click on “Crawl Errors”.
