    Hey all,
I am starting my split tests at 10K email splits and WILL be hooking up my current merchant account up in about a week or so. I wanted to run some click through and opt in test with my blasts but am going to test with Paypal first on the sales page...

I have been with paypal on numerous accounts and had a pay flow pro account for a while at one time. I have authorize.net currently but that is hooked up to a totally different biz and dont want to use that for this new venture..

I just registered a new paypal account under my new business and verified it..

My question is... Does any one have any experience pushing a lot of money through a brand new paypal account?
The money should be between about 10K and 50K with a day or day and a half.

I am thinking I will just call paypal and tell them that that is what I am going to do and i guess they can note the account or something? I just dont want to get it put on some crazy hold or something..

    Any suggestions??
Should I just hold out until I get my new merchant?

    Ideas?

    Thanks a Ton!!

10k to 50k will automatically flag you under the system. It won't be PayPal temporarily suspending the account, it will be their security system. When you are that new, they want more information such as social security and don't give them your EIN because they will request a social. I say be careful 1000 dollars should alone get you flagged at this point.

    Good luck

Alright.. i will just hold out another week for my new Merchant Account. I have a good relationship with them and should be fine as my other account has been good for a long time if I just let them know what to expect to come in...
...However I dont mind giving them my info as I am selling a product that is legit and have a small staff for customer service issues... Might go for it with 5K -10K to start :) Kind anxious to test my clicks and optins. dont really care about the money...yet! This is for optin conversion testing only so far.

    Thanks for the advise!

If anyone has any other input. Please share...

please take the advice of someone who knows, get AWAY from paypal. get a bona fide merchant account (not ccnow, paymate, etc, but a REAL merchant account). you will be limited, you will lose money. maybe not today, or tomorrow, but it will happen. i have lost five figures by being lazy multiple times and not using a bona fide merchant account.

If your selling a legit products then you have no problem. The time paypal limit your account you have your legit documents to submit. It takes only one day or two to lift the limit. But I highly suggest use merchant account.
