Hey, Im looking to find a mentor of sorts to help walk me through the jargon, ideals, and process of all this. BHW is new to me and I'd love to learn about SEO and everything on here. Anything at all would help!

You can't have my bots. Sorry :'(
One thing I've noticed with this forum is that there are a ton of people that try to sell you ebooks, guides, services, etc which I've never really understood. Marketers marketing to marketers (inception, much?). While casually reading I have seen quite a bit of good information, however you do have yo sift through a lot of bad stuff to find it.

I suppose I might be acting a little negative, but just make sure to read a lot and wikipedia everything you don't understand as far as the jargon goes and you should be all set.

SEO can be quite a bear to learn if you don't approach it in small bits. Before you should try learning how to do SEO, you should focus on what it is, and what sites look like that are naturally SEO'd vs manually SEO'd vs poorly SEO'd. Luckily for you, your getting involved post-Penguin meaning that since the latest algo update from Google, alot of old tactics that were widely used are now extinct, forcing people to be more honest in their SEO efforts. Fortunately all of the newbies have not developed any bad habits. Do your best to understand these terms - "backlinks" "referring domains" "Citation" "Trust flow" - having these concepts grasped will allow you to move on to the deeper stuff.

My advice is to learn SEO if you want to learn SEO, but do not learn it because you think it's the only way to make money in IM. I don't know the first thing about SEO and I made a very comfortable living with internet marketing.

You realize that everyone wants a mentor but no one wants to mentor unless its for like $500+ lol.
    Either way, welcome.
