O.K. I have 15 sites. 10 of which are over 1 year old. I've never backlinked them, I always failed at backlinks. Until about 3 weeks ago. I then decided I would try the web 2.0 thing.

Now after I realize how to make a "super web 2.0" that will stick. My question is, how do I know how many web 2.0's to make?

Usually my keywords, WITHOUT backlinks end up around 15th position. I certainly don't want to build 10 for each keyword and end up doing too much. But I don't want to do 5 and do too little.

It wouldn't be so bad, but I've made 10 web 2.0's which were indexed already to my one keyword page and its been 3 weeks and I haven't seen movement. How long do I have to wait?

I realize, nobody can answer these questions, but I'm just looking for some GENERAL guidelines so that I can make educated guesses and feel CONFIDENT when I'm building these web 2.0's.

Right now, I don't see any movement and I'm depressed and down about it. So do I need to build 20? or is it just that I have to wait more? Just screwing with my mindset.

Here is an example of what MOST of my keywords competition looks like: I would consider this EASY, right?

I just need some general guideline to follow, right now I'm lost and just building without knowing what the hell I'm doing. And that doesn't seem like good business.

Some of this post is probably really asking for help and some of it is just getting my frustration out. I REALLY want to succeed at this.

Up until now, I always paid more attention to onpage seo and building big sites and I just ignored offsite. Now I'm realizing that its a whole package and I'm overwhelmed.

If there's any advice, I'd surely appreciate it.

OP you wont find a magic number, its never a set number you just build links until you rank #1

You can also out source these links.

Besides building Web2.0s you should also get links from other places to mix things up a bit. There are so many linkbuilding tutorials around.

There's no general guidelines for web 2.0's? You just make 5 and wait a month to see if it moved, then build 5 more and wait another month?

Someone has got to have experience moving a low comp keyword with just web 2.0's.

Hire a guy on Fiverr to do a GSA blast to the links on your Web 2's and you will start seeing movement. FWIW do NOT become emotionally involved to your Web 2's (this is hard for me) think of them as throwaway sites. On the plus side I've had some Web 2's around for 5 or 6 years now an they have a lot of authority now that I can chuck at all of my sites. I just did some keyword research on an anonymous term and found a guy that has used the same Wordpress blog with crappy content since 2006 and it's working well for him :)

Either hire someone or buy GSA but it's got a pretty steep learning curve, and you have to have a decent list, proxies, email addresses and some super spun content (or Kontent Machine or Spin Rewriter) so you are looking at probably $500 if you go that route but on the plus side you will be free to do whatever you want from there.

    Hope this helps!

    Peace,
    Z

Keep building those 2.0s but, at the same time, diversify your link profiles. Just my two cents for you.

Don't just go with web 2.0. Diversify the link types and anchor text.

Well, I guess I'll just start off with 5 web 2.0's a few article directories for each keyword and see if that works after a month. Just seems very slow.

since you have many sites, you may try whatever possible linkbuilding, don't just build 2.0s, get some blog comments, video links, profile links etc
