My plan is to study under the tutelage of this website and work in my free time to building a legitimate source of income and wealth generation. I don't think I'd ever even quit my job simply because the reliable source of steady income. I recently took my car off the road and converted to bicycle commuting and plan on saving every penny I can. I'm not entirely sure where to start? I'm going to wet my feet with starting a Tumblr blog and seeing how I do / what I can learn. I guess I'm posting this to say hello to everybody here, thank you for your contributions to the knowledge accessible here, I'll keep you guys up to date on my progress and help others in turn, and seeing if anyone has any links or suggestions for me to start with or something to learn first. Kind of new to pretty much all of this, but definitely tech savvy.

Welcome to the forums. I hope you find an area of IM that works for you.

I'd rather not have to waste money on anything just yet, want to be sure I know what I'm doing and am going to be marginally profitable

Welcome to BHW and wish you the best with your journey :)

Trying to make a full time income online myself and make this my career cause screw a 9-5 honestly. Lots of good stuff on this forum just takes a bit of searching.

Lots of ways to make money online, try not to get overwhelmed and get good at one thing.

And no offense but try not to have a penny pincher mindset because I feel that's a bit limiting. Investing in the right places can be incredibly benificial but it's good that you're careful where you spend at the same time.

Best of luck

Welcome! I just started recently as well, I hope we succeed! :)

Welcome dude, hope you enjoy your stay, this place is freaking amazing and there is so much money to be made online, you just have to find your place.

Come check out the Instagram section, its where I started and its been a good learning curve so far, ups and downs obviously, and even though i haven't made a cent yet, i know i will soon. You just need to have a good mindset and be dedicated to whatever your doing.

You'll make it my friend, just work at it.

Welcome to BHW the information and support here are priceless. Do some research, pick something you are honestly enthusiastic about, make a plan then go for it. Having a solid plan and focusing on it instead of dabbling in several things will seriously help you learn and earn without becoming overwhelmed.

Hello & Welcome to BlackHatWorld.

All the best to your plans to making a living online! Just a tip: Don't rush to invest money! First learn all the basics (don't invest in shitty ebooks & tutorials, there are shitloads here on BHW) and then invest small amounts wisely in useful things like domains and hosting for example :).

With $2,500 in the bank, you have more financial resources than you need to get started and earn $100k in the next 12 months.

It's not really about money in this business (unless you don't have any, I guess..)

It's about learning, deciphering, deciding, and acting.

Yeah, but he don't wanna spend a few bucks on a domain+hosting....he is scared not to lose that money. Real entrepreneurial mind

Read a lot. Read and read and read. And when you think you know enough...read more. Not only here. BHW is a great place to learn stuff but as any forum there is also some crap and bad opinions. So read blogs from great gurus and maybe take some courses. Read some books- classic ones and more up to date ones. And most of all.....choose a way to go. Understand what you really want to learn. There are so many ways to go. You have hundreds of ways to make money online,so dont loose yourself and understand what really match with you. And stick with it.

If you are into creating a blog, go for it. But prepare to learn everything you can about that particular blog platform and how to make money with it.

In resume: read.

You are in a great place to start affiliate marketing. You have a decent amount of money in the bank so you can afford a couple of hundred dollars to build your own website. And you aren't swamped with work, so if you don't mind eating into your personal/hobby time you can definitely make a go of it part-time and build up.

I don't know anything about Tumblr but my advice to you is to not chase after easy money. BHW has a history of affiliates chasing after easy money by doing things like spamming YouTube with videos that only promote ClickBank products. These accounts get banned but they make sales initially. Well, this method worked for awhile, but now it is dead. If you do something like this you'll always be working because you'll have to keep finding new spam/blackhat methods that work because none of these last forever.

So I suggest you build something legitimate. Why should people buy the products you promote? A good reason why people buy products is because they get a recommendation from someone they trust. So work to become someone that strangers on the internet trust. There are lots of ways to do this. Blogs are one example. Build your audience that trusts you, and then promote products to them that they'd like. This is how you build a stable, long-term income.

Good luck

2.5k is more than enough financial resources to earn 100k but that requires a lot of knowledge about the niche, method and products that a newbie does not have. To start from nothing but only have 2.5k a newbie is not going to end 100k in the next 12 months ;)

I do think though that if he worked hard and has some other prior IM knowledge, he could build his way up to over 8k/month by the end of the year :)

Actually I pulled the trigger and bought a domain and a year's worth of hosting. I've got my niche and I'm working on the content right now. I spent about 2 hours or so studying how to Wordpress and have a site up that looks pretty OKAY in my eyes. I'm happy with this small starting step and it feels exciting to own a piece of digital real estate that will yield me income.

Dont do what i do and read EVERYTHING - i start reading and 8 hours have passed by....not very profitable
