I joined Adscendmedia last year but other then read up on the subject, put it on the back burner.
However, last night I finally decided to get serious and I took three files, rar'd um with a password and uploaded them to a file share site and included a link to get the passwords.

To my surprise, all three of them are being downloaded like mad, still growing and my webpage(which is brand new) gained over 100 hits and its still growing.

BUT, out of the 60ish hits on said gateway stats(on adscendmedia), only 2 have generated leads.

What puzzles me is why no one seems to be trying very hard to complete the survey/download ect to unlock their desired password.
I am beginning to wonder if infact these people are smart enough to bypass the survey altogether and unlocking the passwords w/o generating leads, is that even possible?
Considering how many people are clicking my webpage and the survey link, it says that they want said passwords.
Forgive my ignorance, I am new to this and I am wondering what is exactly happening.

If, infact they are just clicking the survey and giving up, is there other methods I can use?

Also, as I have said, I am new to affiliate marketing and not even sure if adscendmedia is what I should be using.

If you have better options, pm me your referral and I'll sign up under you, and perhaps you can assist me, I figure you help me, you make commission off me right?

I am currently out of work and have 24/7 to invest and the desire to learn and empty pockets.

    Thanks for your time.

This type of traffic never converts well so your conversion rate seems about normal.

As for Adscend media - I'm using them myself as well from time to time and they're pretty good. But as you move on I would suggest you to look into putting up your own locker so you could a) optimise it properly; b) promote offers from other networks as well to see what converts best.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I got my first taste of somewhat instant traffic and its a wonderful thing, even though it only generated me .77 lmao.
My recipe site has been up for over a year now and hasn't even come close to this sort of traffic.

I have no idea what "locker" is but assume I can figure it out.

Thanks again for the reassurance of adscencemedia, their forum is dead and I suppose I have to figure this all out myself, one step at a time.

Sad that content locking doesn't convert well, the traffic I am getting is amazing.

I almost completely gave up on this whole thing, my domain for my recipe site expires in a few days and I spent a lot of time checking the stats and such and from what I read here, I assume 56% bounce rate isnt that horrible and I am not throwing in the towel.
As for the content locking thing, if this traffic continues to grow as it is, I will find a way to convert it, or try to lol.

So much to do, there just isnt enough hours in the day.

    Sorry for ranting on.
