    Hello Everyone,

    I have been ghosting through these forums for about a year now and have decided that I should join BHW.
    A little about myself, I am into the whole Instagram game, used to be a FollowLiker fanatic until recently when Instagram started going hardcore banning some other automated services(RIP.) It may be worth noting I was able to take my first IG account from 0 - 95K followers in 1 years time. Not anything crazy with FL, but I was happy with the results.

    I'm now refining my networking skills and what better way to do so then at BHW!

    I'm always looking to make money, however, the niche I am currently in seems to be a bit tough to make cash in. Planning on starting my own company, in the future(not related to my original IG account, this account has 5K followers.) The product is invented, I have already prototyped the product and am looking to finish the final prototype soon, then I can either that one of two routes, manufacturing in the Philippines or hand make my products to validate my idea before manufacturing to the Philippines.

    Since I am a bit strapped for cash, I will most likely hand make first, LEAN STARTUP!

    Welcome!

    It's really cool that you invented and prototyped your own product. Did you already use your social media knowledge to try and validate your idea among the niche?

    What's manufacturing in the Philippines like? I sell a few products on Amazon, but my experience is only with manufacturers in China.

    Would you ever consider a kickstarter or some other form of crowdfunding?

    Thanks for the welcome, @goblinsystems :)

    I wouldn't say that I validated my idea though my Instagram followers, but I have validated my idea from people I know that would be within that niche. I am a bit skeptical from these validations, as people will be nice if you know them, however, I had some of these people seem incredibly excited about the idea, so I thought I would bootstrap the idea and try and make a prototype out of the material myself and see if I can validate it through sales.

    My idea is, it will take me a little bit of time to learn how to create this product on my own, but it will allow me the creative freedom that I know this niche will appreciate.

    I have never gone through the full system of manufacturing so I can't give you all the details, however, I did get in contact with those in Washington D.C that are in contact with the manufacturers in the Philippines(Philippine Trade and Investment Center) and they seemed incredibly helpful and was willing to go the extra mile to help me do business with those manufacturers in the Philippines, which was great!

    I thought about a Kickstarter briefly, but I have little knowledge about the process and how it all works(I would be interested in taking a look at it.) The reason I haven't looked much into this forum of capital raising yet is that I want to create the final prototype before I take the next step. I find myself derailing myself if I and pulling to many strings at once.

    Idea --> 3D Prototype --> Final Prototype(working model) --> Find finding --> Manufacturers

    I will feel more comfortable looking and taking action with Kickstarter once I have a final prototype to show off.
