hi guys i new to adwords and i have a few basic questions.

I found some great keywords that have a 5 cent add cost according to the google keywords tool.

i just launched a site and had it indexed, started an add campaign and i find out that the add cost are in the 80c - 1.65 mark..

    why is this?
    is it quality score?
    can i get a 5c click?
what do i need to do?

First of all, never trust the Google Keywordtool it is completely off. Hasn't been accurate in 2 years.
Well check your quality score. For a 5 cent click you usually need a quality score of 7 or higher... If your quality score is lower, it will cost you more (or if there are a lot of competitors for the keywords)

Actually Google Analytics is quite accurate. It just doesn't track visitors that don't have javascript enabled.

You can easily increase your quality score by creating interesting/clever ads that will tempt users to click on your ads more than the competition ads. Be creative and don't use generic boring text. Use words such as special discount, limited time offer, Sale, 50% off...etc...you get the point. All my keywords are 7. My most successful ad says: "What your friends are talking about...blablabla"

    Hope this helps!
