    Hi,

I just landed a client that teaches music. I have just started with them, originally got them by posting ads on Craigslist selling Youtube likes. Now I am posting ads for their business on CL, and set up a tracker and not really seeing results. But it has only been like an hour. Just not seeing too many people even looking at the listing. But anyways, I wanted to know if anyone has an email list in this field. I just started reading about solo ads, any one out there have a solo ad in this niche. I will be trying Adwords next if this doesn't work. They are offering $100.00 per every student that pays for 5 lessons. Yes I am working commission only.

Anyone out there have any other ideas? Is this thread more for the warrior forum. Let me know Thanks BHW. Im part of Google engage, ill give a couple coupon codes for any good answers if that helps.

You have to look at how many ads are you posting and in what city and what sections. Not all locations get the same amount of traffic as well as the cities. Next thing you would need to look at is the titles and how you are setting them up as you have to put something that catches peoples eyes.

The next deal is how do you know if someone signs up or not. Yes you can set up a tracking in CL to see how many people view the ad and then click over to the site if you have it listed.

Well ya I have three different ads right now, each with different titles, and one is in just text kind of written like a person not as corporate. The others I used the snipping tool from windows, and kind of just made a website on craigslist by embedding the images. I took out all the source links so they can't click through to my photobucket account. I didn't include their website because like you said I need to track conversions. So I set up a "contact us" button and hid the email on craigslist so they have to click the button then fill out a contact form which redirects to my email.

Made sure the links were live, so in a music lessons niche. I posted in classes, and creative services I even added some stars in the title to stand out. Then I went back and check the list and all the links are live.

So I obviously need a way better traffic source.

this is a local client i am assuming because of the purchased lessons and offline in the thread title. if this is the case email isn't going to help you all that well right now because you need highly targeted lists of local emails and it would be a bad pray and spray tactic at this point. what you want to do is build lead generation pages and get emails for people interested in anything music locally in that area. this is not even that great of an idea because it's a bit of work and will take a helluva long time to see results. still it should be a long-term tactic that you employ.

you need to go hyperlocal. start treating their business like an affiliate product and get local seo domination. this should be first priority for becoming a lead generator for them. why? because local SEO is extremely easy to rank. start looking for keywords, try adwords at the start to get some quick leads if you're desperate.

are you in the area? i would suggest printing out flyers and handing them out in populated areas. or spreading the flyers in local businesses like cafes, and anywhere else you can stick one. walk right into any business and just plain out ask them, can i display this flyer in your establishment? you could give them a percentage of any leads they may generate but you'll have to think of a good way to keep track of this, but it won't be very hard.

also for the online domination, pay someone on fiverr to make some videos for you advertising their business. get these ranking in youtube for your local keywords and you'll essentially have a free landing page for anyone searching for music lessons in [city] once you rank it.

Yes this is a local client, Im in LA and they are in Beverly Hills so like 45 minutes to drive. So I should build pages that have a signup form in them? Just trying to get clarified on lead generation pages. Is that like a sales page with a place for them to sign up, with no commitment?

    -Local SEO keyword?

Music lessons Los Angeles? Is that what you mean by local seo. Damn now I ask the quesion about SEO. So I leave backlinks in music related blogs with an anchor text as my main keyword. Like "There is a music school I just found out about they have online classes, and treated me really good, plus they cut out my registration fee as a new student _ Anchor text "beverly hills music lessons" ??

OR do I just set up all the on site content to match my keyword with out text stuffing? Or can I just blast blogs with scrapebox with my keyword?

nevermind Ill have to research SEO more.......

Good idea about the video I just saw skittles thread and bought a package from them, I think I will go that route. You know whats funny is you can actually buy a pro account from fiverr then make your own videos with out the animote branding at the end.

Oh yeah I figure I can give back to the community I found out how to put videos into craigslist.
-What you do is use keepvid to download the video.
-Then use lunapic to convert the video into an animated GIF
-Then upload it to photobucket, and copy and past the code into your ad.
-Now you have a looping video in your ads, with out the viewer having to click and get redirected to youtube.

-Im contributing!! Anymore ideas out there!? I think that video method is pretty creative!@
THANKS Guys Illl try to keep this thread up to date.
