This has become a larger problem and hit the myspace forums.

SpyderX.com is reporting it as:
It appears that MySpace has made some recent changes that cause people's accounts to be "blocked" unnecessarily. This appears to be caused by some glitchiness with MySpace's recent changes.

Further support it may just be a glitch:

One myspace technician suggested the spam button being the problem. To reverse it, an account would have to get labeled not junk in the spam box.

Our system detected that a significant number of users marked your friend requests and/or messages as spam. As a result, all of your correspondence has been routed to junk folders.

How to fix this:

To unblock your account, a number of users to whom you've sent friend requests or messages must visit their spam folders and specifically mark your messages as "not junk." This will change your spam status. Due to security reasons, we are unable to disclose the exact number needed to unblock your account. You may want to post a blog or new headline explaining the issue to your friends and ask them to mark the requests and messages as not spam. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, but unfortunately this is the only way to unblock your account and we cannot offer any further information regarding this issue.

We cannot change the spam reporting metrics on your profile. In order to reverse this from happening in the future, you'll need to be more selective about sending out messages and friend requests to prevent so many from being flagged as junk. Alternatively, if users to whom you've sent friend requests or messages visit their spam folders and specifically mark your messages as "not junk," this will change your spam status.
We recommend that you include personalized messages with your friend requests to prevent recipients from flagging your requests as junk. If you were using an unauthorized, automated form to add friends or messages on MySpace, we suggest that you disable it as it violates our Terms of Service.
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for helping us keep MySpace a safe and enjoyable place to socialize with friends.

This is weird. The account I use for the Uk has been blocked three times now yet the account I use for USA which is about 6 times bigger has not been touched. How many times can the account be unblocked before its gone for ever?

Looking at DiZZy's very helpful post above it would make sense to begin helping everyone out and marking spam requests and messages which aren't spam as not spam.

Of course we all help people out here don't we :)

myspace again changes their website coding. Now i am not able to see the spam request section in friend request section.

Seems to be a massive issue with Firefox, at least it is for me. Use the dreaded IE or alternative if possible til it gets sorted. Pretty ridiculous that they'd go public with a system that doesn't work with Firefox.

Here is what they sent me. I believe it is a standard line of garbage as I have no pending friend requests for the last week. (See my Macro thread.)

Hello,

Your profile was locked due to excessive friend add spam complaints, as a result of friend add requests sent from your MySpace.com profile being marked as spam by the receiving users. A locked MySpace user will not be able to send mail, request friends, or leave comments. If you have been locked you will see a note indicating so when you login. You can un-lock yourself by clicking on the Click here to unblock link. This will take you to another page where you will need to type in a CAPTCHA to un-lock yourself. At this time, every additional complaint received after this will require you to solve another CAPTCHA. If you are having trouble solving the CAPTCHA, make sure you are not using a mobile device, and also be sure to click the submit button rather than pressing the Enter key as this will only refresh the image.

If you currently have a large amount of pending sent friend requests, as users review the requests, they may mark them as spam. If enough complaints are received, your account will be locked out again even if you haven't sent any friend requests that day. Please note it is at the sole discretion of the user that receives your requests to determine if they are spam. MySpace cannot assist you with your marketing strategy except to advise that you send personalized messages with your friend requests

In order to avoid this in the future, please try to better target your friend add requests in order to avoid being viewed as spam. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your continued patience.

Thank you,
MySpace.com

Update: The previous message is the "Official" response from myspace.

I shot them back another message explaining that it's impossible to be blocked for spam friend requests with none pending and to please register the bug with tech support. They sent that one back, yet again. Proving that is the default message.

After reading on http://www.spyderx.com/help.html#faq-accountblocked I went and made a few more accounts. All it took to unlock an account was to send 6 messages from that account to 6 other accounts of mine and then mark them all as not spam. I wonder if you can just send 6 messages to one account.... I'll try that next if I get blocked again.

i do not understand
"You Get alot less adds than you use to due to the fact your friend request goes in peoples spam requests once you hit 5 adds in sequence (Every 5 adds the 6th add is spam)"

can you mentioned clearly about this?

regarding this
"Your sending personalised msg's or adding, (Real Name), (Notifaction's) to each add, i use FBP and add the maximum of about 450+ each day and have had no problems, just make sure you dont message, and if you do its only in reply to messages you have got, because you can still send even if your limit is reached. (try it, it works)" are you talking about friend request short note or messages.
