New Money Making Idea - Just got yesterday - Not tried yet

Before some days i read a ebook about making money through web designing... the idea seems somewhat nice,, so i tried, but it did not seems working for me... so i made some twist to that idea...

have a look... and post your comments...

Note : My English won't be good..

1. Get a email id with girl name...

2. Go to Google map and search something like this "dentist in Albany"...

3. You will see lots of companies... just visit each company websites...

4. As all of us know, companies websites won't be professional and they look very old...

5. Write down all unprofessional sites and 2 professional sites...

6. Email them using the email which we created in (1) saying that,,,

Hi, I am (girls name). I was searching for dentist in Albany and i find your site... Your site is very very old... Now we are living in web 2.0 world... Have a look at your competitor sites ( 2 professional site links ) ... So try to redesign your site...

I am very sorry for commenting, but i just like to say since i care much about designs... So don't take it as serious...

7. Lots of peoples surely care about their business... so they think of redesigning their site... Those who think of redesigning will reply you saying that "we will redesign....."..

8. Now contact the companies which replied you in professional manner saying that "You are a big web designing company, blah blah blah".... If you can make a call....

9. I am sure that you will get some good number of web designing projects from them....

How is this ?? Whats your idea about this method ??

I am going to start implementing this method and i will update this thread with the results...

Or create a (fake) competitor's website yourself and add "Designed by" stuff everywhere on site so they notice it and (maybe) hire you.

Timing is critical so as not to raise suspicion among potential clients. Also one email by a lone crank would necessarily spur action by potential customers. You need to follow with a strong call to action pointing out how they are losing business not so much by their poor design but by poor SEO. Send them that instand web site analysis report that was featured in a thread just recently on BHW.

I was thinking of trying something similar to get SEO clients. Look for under-optimized websites, email the business owner a basic seo report showing how exactly good optimization would generate more business. And finally follow it up with a call/meeting to finalize the deal if they seem interested. You should try this out and let us know what the results. Best of luck

for last 10 days, i tried different things like sending the latest web technology,, etc., but none of them seems work... business peoples won't have much knowledge about web site.. so they think that those emails are spam...

Pretty good idea, good job!

Timing would be crucial here, it would be important to make them aware that you think their website is lame, and within the next few days when it is still in their mind, contact them and do your sales pitch.
