You need to wait some time before Google populates changes. Usually about 6-9 days.

Submit it to google to crawl your page using google webmaster tools, the search result will be updated in less than a minute.

Give it Some time, Couple of days may be.... If its already been some days since the change then try using Proxy and then check if that helps.

I am noticing that WMT after fetching takes a lot longer than 1 day to start the updating. About a week and its gone through half of my site with fixing errors. New posts show up pretty quickly, but older edited posts are not instant.

It happens, just allow plenty of time for it to be updated.

You will need to wait from 6 to 10 days till Google makes changes on your site. Usually this can happen a bit earlier but I would say 6 days as minimum.

Time varies depends upon the site and its authority. You can request Google to recrawl your site in WMT and also speed up the crawl rate on your site a bit in WMT.
