    Hi everyone,

Been lurking on BHW for a while and finally decided to join because the community here seems so supportive which is what I need during these times. (laid off from work :eek:)

Anyways I've had a small blog about 8 months ago but never did anything with it for the first 5 months and finally decide to do something with it and turned it into a multi-authored magazine style site with a niche in mens lifestyle & personal development. Pretty much a manosphere.

I've started learning SEO and only used on-page SEO to try to get organic traffic. I did purchase GSA SER and other keyword tools such as Traffic Travis, Keyword Researcher Pro, & Kontent Machine (only use it for article scraping/building for SER) and I'm still in the process of learning how to use each one effectively.

    [Current Stats On Site]
Domain Age: 8 Months (Didn't touch it for the first 5 months, just letting it age)
Current Articles: 88 Articles (Publishing +1 every day)
Revenue Source: Adsense & Affiliate Links
    Current Revenue Daily: $0.01
Current Revenue Monthly: $0.30 + few Adsense clicks averaging $3.00 a month :(
Traffic Source: Organic & Social Media Primarily Facebook
    Current Daily Page Views: ~25
    -6 Organic
-3 Social (Facebook Page with 91 real followers via paid ads)
-16 Direct/Unknown (Probably myself checking out/working on my site)

    [The Past 8 Months]
    Month 1-5: Nothing
So as mentioned, the first 5 months I didn't touch at all cause i didn't know what the hell I was doing. It took me about 6 months to self-learn SEO to understand the basics and I've started to adopt tools to help my articles out on search engines (Mainly keyword & keyword competition research). My budget is limited as I recently got laid off so currently I'm outsourcing articles to a small team of individual writers to try to push out at least 1 article a day. The more articles for an authoritative site, the better right?

Month 6: Website Design & Brand
Got a nice looking magazine style theme, started building accounts under my brand name, made a FB page, started writing articles myself the first month before hiring additional writers to push more articles out on different categories of the niche. Learned alot during this process, especially website design, article writing, editing, what to look for in writers, & the style of my magazine I like to portray to readers.

Month 7 & 8: Pushing Out Article & Starting To Learn GSA SER To Rank
In the past 2 months, I was able to push out 88 articles on low competition keywords and sadly all I'm getting in return is a daily log of ~6 organic readers daily. Bleh, but whatever. We have to persevere!
I'll be coming back to post updates on certain miles I feel should be noted. Probably around the $1, $10, $25, & $50 DAILY mark.

Even though the title says from scratch, I build the website on my own with a new domain and everything. Even the website design was done by me so even though it seems a bit aged.. it started from a white sheet of paper so I'm still keeping it labeled as scratch. Just keeping you guys caught up on what's been worked on up until now.

    [Thanks For Reading]

I am completely open to any thoughts, suggestions, tools, settings, whatever has worked for you to get your website to rank and build traffic. I still consider myself as barely scraping past the basics and I've already decided to dedicate to this full time as it's something I've always wanted to do and the lay off gave me a fresh start to achieve this.

I've also experimented with some EMD & small niche website but rather focus my energy on building an authoritative one for now to see how I do.

Thanks and let me know if you have any questions. Nice to be a part of BHW!

You have 88 articles and you have 25 daily pageviews. So basically, you have a lot of content and nobody is reading it.

Figure out why. Reasons might be: wrong keywords (metrics, competition, etc), bad content (thin, short, grammar, etc.), bad SEO (on-page and off-page).

Stop investing money in more content (and SEO tools, Facebook ads, etc) until you know where you get the biggest bang for your buck. Most likey it's one of the above.

Just to give you an example: I recently started a new site. It currently has one article. it's a very detailed and long article (compared to what the competition writes). One of the keywords I'm targeting is on the first place of the Google SERP. I'm getting 100 a day visitors from that (low-key) keyword alone.

If you continue like this you'll need a total of 352 articles to get the same amount of visitors. Adjust your strategy.

I'm by no means an expert, this is just what went through my mind reading your post.

    Good luck with your site.

As Laurus told, you should see what causes that low number of daily page views. If you have a big bounce rate number, you should inspect your website readability.
    Good luck mate :D
